An Army veteran joined a Marine cohort in confronting a Checkers restaurant for flying the American flag upside down. The vets say its the second time in three months that the eatery has improperly displayed Old Glory.
The video was taken and posted on Facebook by John Zulu of Lakeland, Fl and according to Zulu:
I just had to deal with checkers disrespecting the American flag for the second time. Please share this video everywhere. The employee even says, Im Mexican, I dont even believe in the American flag.

I guess they can do that but we cannot have a confederate flag of freely assembling states.
Yeah, eat your police state corruption, mexican fed snitch,
Then get the heck out of MY Country you worthless piece of third-world sub-human garbage.
Getting his freebies, living in a apartment with God knows how many others and sending as much money as possible to a bank in his country where he will live quite well on our money.
Why the hell is the Mexican who doesn’t like America living in the USA? Move back to the paradise that is Mexico.
I had the same question. My immigrant ancestors came here legally, and were proud as anything to be American.
Which Checkers was it?
Judging from the video, it was the one in the parking lot of Everest University across from the Baptist Church in the Mall on Memorial Blvd.
That's not a part of Lakeland I would ever willingly drive near, day or night.
Given the location, it may have really been a sincere and proper use of the USA flag, flown to signal great distress, by a patriotic citizen who absolutely knew exactly what it meant, and who was attempting to signal clearly to others citizens that there is a clear and present danger at that location.
Just saying...
Given the location that was just confirmed by another local FReeper, it might just be that one of those “boobs at Checker's” did it exactly and precisely for the very reason the creation of the distress signal was intended.
I'm a veteran.
But so is John Kerry and John McCain.
Think about it people.
