The Obama VA may be running a back door gun registry under the guise of a free gun lock program.
A Progressives Today reader sent in this letter they received with the following worrisome comment attached:
Is this a backdoor way of the VA attempting to create a gun registry on vets? I think it is
Dear Veteran:
The James E. Van Zandt VA Medial Center is extending the opportunity to request free gun locks to the Veterans we serve. We are providing this opportunity because, as your partner in health care, we are committed to keeping you and your family safe. We selected you for this mailing to Veterans simply because you have an upcoming appointment at our facility.
If you own a gun, we hope you will request and use a gun lock. As a Veteran, you already know about the importance of firearm safety. We encourage you to talk about gun safety with family members, loved ones, and close friends.
If you would like up to four free gun locks for personal use, please indicate how many you would like on the enclosed postcard, include your name and address, and return the postcard. When we receive your request we will mail the requested number of gun lock to the address you provide.
This is not the first time weve seen this.

got time for this but not processing claims for veterans.
MrsSgtBob is a clinician at the VA....this program has been going on for years....
I just hope that if I’m ever asked that by a doctor my snarky response will be AFTER the prostate exam!
SHHHHH! Don’t say that out loud! Hehehehehehehehe!
It could be semiautomatic, revolver, pistol, rifle, shotgun, et al.
Something isn't right here.
Thoughts?
Until my kids are adults, I’m in on the visit
My kid’s doctor would not find that unusual. When asked when the kids (girls) need to see a gyn, his answer is, after they’re arrived, until then they’re not at risk for anything
We pay him, he works for us, to keep the kids healthy Not the AMA and not the government.
Not a secret really. This is part of a systematic program to disarm the veterans to make the entire population more pliant. Who better to lead a revolt then those with combat knowledge, training and experience?
Gee, could have used those four gun locks...before the boating accident.
Bflr
As if there weren’t already 50 million unused gun locks floating around the country.
Just curious...how many retarded veterans does the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center serve? These people must think it's many.
No joke.
Some say these are electronic gun locks that need a code. Unless you know this ‘code,’ they won’t unlock.
I have seen many government communications in my life and this one seems a bit odd, even for the gov. It is very suspect to say the least.
I was asked if there were guns in the house, I said no, they are all out in the bunker.
Yes, it is trolling. All dressed in “we careness”. I’m so sick of government bastards invading my life.
Heres a better offer:
If you would like up to four free glocks for personal use, please indicate how many you would like.
Right! If I get this letter I guess I’ll respond that I don’t know what to do with the dozens of gun locks I already have. It’s like every time I buy a gun they give me another one. I still have not figured out what to do with them. Seriously, to me gunlocks are like Free AOL CDs use to be, all over the place, unused, and of no real value.
