What a crazy survey! Only the question that had Roy Orbison as one of the choices had any artists I like at all.

“If the 60s technically extended into the early 70s, then, yep, I am a 60s person”

I’ve always maintained that eras don’t neatly arrange themselves by decades. What we think of as “the 50s” seem to have lasted from around 1954 until about the Kennedy assassination and the arrival of the Beatles. Then “the 60s lasted from 1964 through the end of the Vietnam war and the arrival of disco.

Good morning Pro ((HUGS))

Sorry about not-good news on the job front. One of my nephews-in-law is still trying to find something, as well. Hope something comes along for all those seeking work.

Yeah, well, you know how it is when one is organized and used to their morning routing for 17 years.

Have a fruitfully, fruitful day!

Good morning henkster ((HUUGS))

Alice in Chains, Nirvanah, Soundgarden, Black Keys and Blind Melon.

Ah, I've got a few songs by Black Keys but that's about all. I can't handle AiC nor Nirvanah. Never heard of Blind Melon, so I'll have to google.

Yeah...kind of “fixed” for a younger audience...though many of us were 50’s and 60’s. Just for fun! Thanks for checking it out!:)

Good morning to everyone at the Canteen. It's only 71º here this morning. Looks like we may stay under the 100 mark again.

I hear ya! The only “country” artist listed anywhere was Willie Nelson! LOL!

I just tried to come as close as possible. You and I are from the same decade. :)

To each their own. I used to get in arguments with friends about music. No longer. I’ll listen to just about anything (except rap). I also used to argue with them about sports, politics, religion and food. I’ve put all that away, it’s not worth it.

I’ve mellowed with age. Even if my taste in music crystallized.

Good morning LUV and (((HUGS))). Low 70s here, so I better get outside and mow the grass.

Yep, probably a good thing to do, though it would be better if you could just enjoy the cool without the work. :)

LOL.

I get you. Especially the politics one.

I’m with you on the rap/hip hop stuff...can’t handle it myself. Oh, and for me, opera (although I like some rock opera, like Kamelot).

It was odd that it had so many modern acts (that I’ve never heard) and then Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, but not much in between.

It's going OK. Got the updates installed for Windows 7. 13 updates in all.

Had a little trouble with the old computer (XP 7 years old) trying to get it to hook up to the wi-fi. The receiver in the computer showed no connectivity. Took a couple of reboots to finally get it to working.

Enjoying some cool weather this morning. Supposed to get to low 90's today.

Oh yeah...opera.

When I was growing up, one of my best friends had a really nice concrete basketball court in his back yard. It was big enough to easily accommodate 4 on 4 games. So we would go there to play.

The problem was his dad, who was an opera fan. While we were trying to play, he’s move his stereo speakers on the porch, and read the paper there while the opera music was blasting out the speakers. And I mean LOUD. It was surreal.

Never got a taste for opera.

Oh you poor thing. I can image what it was like for a kid.
