A comic actor went to see his doctor about depression ... the doctor said to go and see Pagliacci and Tonio The Fool. It’ll make you laugh and you’ll be happy when you leave.. The man answered “I am Tonio”

In the centuries past, a man went to a doctor for depression, suicide thoughts and such.
The doctor recommended he go see the famous GRIMALDI the comedian to lift his spirits.
The man said...”Dr, I AM GRIMALDI!”
I think of Oscar Levant and Jonathan Winters. Such remarkable comic genius....living on a tightrope.
His idol, Jonathan Winters suffered from depression.
Robin had been in and out of re-hab. He said he went recently even though he was clean and sober. He was grabbing for life lines. But, when someone makes up their mind to do it, there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
While I don’t know any at near his level, many I have met developed their talent because of some sort of pain. Sad
I suspected he was bipolar. I liked his work also, especially his dramatic roles.
