Its hard to believe that its been 35 years since this smash-hit frathouse comedy was first released. Amazingly enough, Animal House only received mixed reviews when it came outthough both Time magazine and Roger Ebert named it one of the best movies of 1978. Critics didnt really matter, though, since the film grossed well over $100 million, making it the third-biggest of the year, behind only Grease and Superman.

I have not seen SNL for at least 20 years.
I still chuckle at “It’s a dessert topping! No, it’s a floor wax!” And Placenta Helper.

One my all-time favorite comedies, along with The Blues Brothers.
The scene with Dorfman and Neidermeyer’s horse, in the Dean’s office, still brings on a choking fit of laughter with me.
My son (20) and his friends love this movie. They also like “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” as well.

“Stork committed suicide by jumping off a cliff on the big island of Hawaii.”
I thought the official story was that he slipped after being despondent about how “they” ruined Caddyshack?

The only beef I had with the film was that it was set in 1962, but one of the songs prominently featured was Louie, Louie by the Kingsmen,, from 1963Forget it, he's rolling.
