Afton Burton was 16 and living with her parents in Illinois when she discovered Charles Manson.
Now, nine years later, her name is Star, she’s 25 years old, and she considers herself Charles Manson’s wife, even though it isn’t official yet.
“He filed for the first round of paperwork,” says Star, who says she’s in love with the 79-year-old convicted murderer. “I’m completely with him, and he’s completely with me. It’s what I was born for, you know. I don’t know what else to say.”
Star says she was first attracted to Manson after reading about ATWA, Manson’s environmental philosophy that stands for air, trees, water, animals.
“It’s the life on the planet, you know,” Star says. “The Earth is a rock and everything else on it is ATWA.”

Show her the autopsy photos of the Tate-La Bianca murders and see what her boyfriend did. The cops who found the bodies are still alive. Talk to them. See how they still have nightmares from the crime scenes.

Manson was not convicted of physically doing anything or even being present for any of the murders. Only for conspiracy.
I think it’s good that he was still convicted but it’s kind of funny that someone people consider to be one of the worst murderers in history didn’t actually spill any blood himself.
Looks like ol’ charlie’s still got that mind control thing down pat.

If he were to be tried in todays legal system I think he would probably walk away from all of it scott free.
That is actually one of the reasons he is considered so.
To kill someone yourself that is natural, to convince others to do your killing for you is unusual and unnatural.
