Iraqs parliament just chose a new President who refused to rename Prime Minister Nouri Kamal al-Maliki to a third term. Maliki declared the move unconstitutional and his own State of Law Party pulled support from him. Now his forces are seizing government buildings in Iraq, have closed the airport, and are surrounding the Green Zone.

When Obama got elected, I predicted he would get a million people killed.
Unfortunately, he is proving me right.
He has supported rebels in Libya, Egypt and Syria.
Obama must have snuffed out a few hundred thousand by now.
10pm and CNN / MSNBC / FNC all airing reruns.
Makes one wonder what good is cable news anyway if none of them can be bothered to cover this live???
Obama has supported Jihad in Libya and Egypt and Syria
The only reason he is responding now is because he’s embarrassed. His Muslim brothers are getting a little too bloodthirsty, killing kids. It doesn’t play good at his dinner party, where he brags about Islam.
But don’t worry ISIS. You got a friend in the whitehouse.
The mistakes are many but we need perspective. The UN resolutions and many agreeing on the WMD issue. Many nations were involved, but it was left to us to maintain the peace and rebuild. Correct me if I am wrong, but the Neocon view was to stay there for 99 years if we had to. Now, maybe that is too much to ask or bite off, but when the commitment was made in light of 9/11 and all these troubles then by golly the USA should have stuck with it NO MATTER WHO WAS PRESIDENT. Sadly, we no longer have that type of country or staying power due to weak leadership from Congress, all the way up.
And yes, there should have been many examples made, like Faluja, and the Saudis should have been threatened to within an inch of their life concerning their support of terror.
Too many deals, weak leadership, corruption have tied our hands. Innocents are dying and the evil we are witnessing is headed for us.
on something beside their golf game, that IS. ;-}

Mike
so maliki get his panties twisted up after the election and issues a “constitutional complaint” against the newcomer? bahaha good thing he’s not in the USA! he issues complaint and gets a coup started and our “leader” kills our own military personnel among many other things and we STILL can’t get one of those illusive coups started! something not clean in the milk! as my papa use to tell me :)
Mike
I was wondering when that picture would resurface.
Is anyone challenging Mcain - is he up for reelection?
That picture should be EVERYWHERE
He’ll have the Mohammedans so preoccupied with building the Baghdad Metropolitan Trolley System that they’ll not have time to think of Jihad.
John Bolton?
Sheesh every nation Alibama touches ends up in a coup....looks like transforming the face of the US wasn’t enough for him.
Thanks for the mention. Fair enough...
When it comes to Twitter, it’s like that old saying.
Believe nothing of what you hear.
Believe only half what you see.
And try to quit laughing when it’s sourced from Twitter.
State Department says it supports Iraq President Fuad Masum
Which probably means they’re better off with Maliki.
Unfortunately, too many have suckled on the Eurosocialist POV, so that many think that you can be prosperous courtesy of the government, ie: high government ‘services’ with no correspondingly high taxes; Keynesian economics. No all, but too many, at present, think this way.
“Iran, as bad as it is, is a bit more rational.”
Things are seriously f’d up if Iran is more rational and Al Qaida is less violent than the sociopaths taking over Iraq now.
Iran is more rational in the sense that they are not beheading Christian children.
Maliki will be fully backed by AL Quds leader Suleiman, who installed him in the first place.
Now we truly will have Shiite (Including Iraqi and Iranian Shiite fighting together) attacking the ISIS Sunnis backed by Qatar and Saudi and Obama.
Gulf war 1 and 2 are going to look like teddy bear picnics. Get ready to see lots of heads roll, literally.
BTW, the ISIS Sunnis, and those who voted against Maliki today,
will lose, and lose badly.
