Hillary Clinton, the front-runner among potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidates, is sharply distancing herself from President Obama's foreign policy, particularly in Syria, as Americans appear to continue losing confidence in his handling of key international affairs.
Clinton, who as secretary of state was Obamas top diplomat, suggested during an in-depth interview with The Atlantic magazine that the presidents foreign-policy mantra of dont do stupid stuff lacked sufficient depth.

Bill Clinton Staff = Obama Staff = Hillary Clinton Staff
Amazing how so-called educated democrats can't see failure coming.
“Stock up on popcorn. “
After picking myself off the floor from laughing so hard.
She’s running as a Republican?
Ya think?
As far as leadership goes, it's incredibly weak. It just means deniability for any mistake made by an underling -- "Hey, I told them not to do stupid stuff -- and the next thing I knew, my golf game gets interrupted with news that the world is on fire! It's not my fault!"
Got to distance Hillary from Obama, you know.
She’s right here, but she’s also massively complicit in this approach to foreign policy.
Bill Clinton may have been many things, many if most of them less than savory, but he is almost always spot on when making an analysis of foreign affairs. The fact that the Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001, thinks the Current Occupant is just about a complete doofus is pretty telling.
But Bill is secretly gladdened that the bumbling efforts of the Current Occupant make Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, appear to be the “voice of reason”. Never mind that Herself is fully as culpable of the events in Benghazi, as the Current Occupant. That will be “old news” by 2016.
If Herself does not inadvertently reveal the fact that she is in truth a very sickly old lady, almost totally incapacitated by brain injuries and physical disabilities that make her stamina questionable at best.
Already posted, I think.
Oh yes - Clinton was all over Al Qaeda back in the day and hunted down Osama bin Laden with missile strikes...oh wait...yeah, that never happened...he sat back and didn’t do anything but retreat, like Obama...and then we had 9/11...
Clinton cut the intelligence community to almost nothing...
Obama has done the same thing....as well as major cuts in the military...
Ever heard of Pusan...When the Korean War started - that’s the last place we held until re-enforcement could start turning the tide...almost lost that one...same thing, big war over - must cut everything - then it bites us in the a$$...
Gosh - I wonder who was Secretary of State when we failed to get a “Status of Forces” agreement with Iraq?
Would ISIS be doing anything in Iraq except digging graves if we’d still had a residual force stationed there?
I don't know about a failure to act in Syria. I could never conclude that there were identifiable good guys and bad guys involved in the fighting in Syria. But it was beyond negligent and stupid to not use air power against ISIS as soon as it began invading Iraq, and all during the time they were convoying and attacking around northern Iraq.
Oh, yes, she’s running to the right of Jeb, I’ve heard.
Why not?
she’s got Fox here, as usual, keeping her in the headlines.
But he did act. He sent in weapons, supplies, and money. Guess what it bought.
Hillary is lamenting him not doing more for the friends of al Qaeda and ISIS/ISIL.
Hillary is basically taking a shovel and hitting herself in the face with it, when she makes statements like this.
You need to explain why not acting in Syria created the ISIS problem.
Don't forget, Obama is on the side of the rebels in Syria. Many of the ISIS fighters were former rebels fighting in Syria. We were (secretly via Benghazi) supplying the rebels with weapons. I presume that some of those weapons are now in the hands of ISIS. Maybe many, many of these weapons.
Am I wrong about this?
Whatever happened to our drone force? They haven’t seemed to use them at all up until now. WTF are they for, if not to deter groups like ISIS/ISIL?
If this administration doesn’t pull its head out pretty soon, Israel is going to be almost completely surrounded by a radical massive Islamic state.
Sounds good to me.
Failure to act in Syria?
Does that mean arming the people who are now ISIS?
