It’s unlikely that United Mine Workers of America president Cecil Roberts thought he would be arrested protesting the energy policies of the very politician his union supported in 2008. But things have come full circle for coal miners, who now see President Obama’s climate agenda threatening their livelihoods.
Roberts and other UMWA members were arrested Thursday marching through Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, towards the federal building the Environmental Protection Agency was holding field hearings for a new rule that could very well force more coal mines and plants to shut down. …

Union members aren’t noted for intelligence. They vote lockstep Democrat and are ignorant of the issues. I won’t forget here in NE Mississippi when I called out a Union leader on supporting gun control and then gave him examples of Democrat/Union support of gun control. His response?

Their union bosses told them what to do and how to vote. They are good unionists. The bosses were paid well for their success in delivering the union votes.
The unions all supported Hitler who, in his first official act as Chancellor, outlawed unions.

Most politicians today lie, or at least make promises that they are unlikely to be able to keep. It’s not a problem in a vacuum; it is one facet of a general loss of godliness.

Osama Obama made it clear well before the ‘08 Election that he intended to bankrupt the coal industry.I guess the coal miners must have been under the same delusion as were some German Jews during the 30’s who believed that Hitler was only kidding when he wrote Mein Kempf.
Wow, the UMW must have about a 10 year buffer in their collective consciousness. For the last three elections at least, conservatives have been screaming at them that they are out of their minds to support Democrats who were and are actively planning to “destroy coal”.
Nobody who gets there livelihood from coal should *ever* vote for *any* Democrat, unless they want to lose their job and leave their family destitute.
