Or Martial Law?
One is a Tekken character, one is a military court.
The link also says that the patient recently visited a country that had a high communicable disease rate, but it was determined that the patient was at low risk of spreading the disease and was sent home.
If it is something to be worried about we will never know.... Not until the contagion can no longer be hidden. Part of it is HIPPA but I doubt the govt would release info that would cause panic until its too late. I’m not a doomsdayer or a prepper, but I think I will lay in some supplies so I can avoid going to a store for a week or two if needed. Of course if it comes near us I’m on the front line anyway. DH and I have decided if we get an outbreak of something like this, one of us will stay at hospital and work the other will stay with kids and not go anywhere near work....
“Probably just another alien carrying the diseases Americans are unwilling to carry.”
That, I’m ashamed to admit, was funny.
Right. Thats why we have docs dying of it. If she were talking about cholera, she would be right. She is way off track on a hemorrhagic fever. THey are nasty.... they quickly lead to multi organ failure and death.
Wasnt there a group of NC missionaries who had been exposed to ebola?

You go right on ahead and panic then.
Were those Americans who caught Ebola from NC? This could be bad news
You are contagious just before AND during your symptoms- and one of the guys who died was on a plane headed to USA when he got symptomatic and collapsed when they landed in Lagos
EVERYONE else on that plane was exposed, and no one else was isolated.
90% fatality rate
It’s spread by mosquitos and only 1-10 virus organisms are necessary for infection:

There is no medicative treatment; its all about trying to make them comfortable and hydrated.
FReeper, PLEASE!
Actually, they are also very good at confiscating things like beverage bottles, nail clippers, knitting needles and doing explosive tests of books by C.S. Lewis.
I kid you not on the last example. It actually happened to some C.S. Lewis books which were pulled out of my carry-on on a flight out of IAH last year.
P.S. The only explosive parts of the books were some popular atheist myths.
It sure as hell ain't VD!
Hydration and other supportive care reduce the mortality from 90%+ to ‘only’ 60%.
60% mortality is still bad news.
It wouldn’t be TB....that I can testify to.
Better start drinking Apple Cider Vinegar, Garlic and by a big can of “OFF”. Oh and stay away from the woods.
If this Ebola is airborne, then it will spread very rapidly.
A tonsillectomy in that part of the world probably has a near 60% fatality rate.
And the only thing that comes to mind requiring THAT level of protection would be a Hemmorhagic Fever, like Lassa, Q-fever, or Ebola. . .
