The white flags - international symbols of surrender - fluttered Tuesday from poles on the stone supports that hold cables above the bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan.
One of the flags, viewed via video, appeared to have faint traces of stars and stripes on it.
Police say it isn't clear what time they were placed there - or by whom.
I think the white flags represent the surrender of America by BHO. It may have been guys from our side that did this.
Why is there so much outrage over these white flags??? They symbolize Obama’s immigration and foreign policy!
Well, then Shouldn’t they have been black flags??? (or at least checkered, or even gray?)
The second they showed those flags on TV I knew what they symbolized..Obama’s surrender..heck he’s been surrendering since Jan 2009 its the only thing Obama knows how to do, besides bowing down to our enemies
Not everyone in NYC is a liberal
Where did I say they were? He won with a majority, I’m guessing he didn’t get 100% of the vote.
Just saying
NYPD Thinks Brooklyn Bridge White Flag Stunt Was an Inside Job

Just saying what? Show me where I said everyone in NYC was a liberal... Do you deny that Bill de Blasio/Warren Wilhelm, Jr. is a communist?
“I think the white flags represent the surrender of America by BHO. It may have been guys from our side that did this.”
Or tourist from France
Hasn’t anyone wondered if they weren’t just cheap flags that faded and no one noticed?
No.
Anything else on your mind?
Ok....so the theory is...so someone got the same exact size flags....bleached them...but not completely....then hung them in place of the other flags?
Why?...what is the motive?
All good questions.
You know one of the flags was inverse, too, right? Black stars on a white background, red and white stripes reversed, all faded back to grey so light it could barely be seen against the white - just like the other flag. So, one flag completely faded in the positive, and one flag completely faded in the negative.
So, not bleach. Not actually faded, either. Rather created that way, and installed with no one seeing anyone do it.
Or changed right on the flagpoles...
It also says “a flag is usually freshened every three months.” So how many days is “a stretch of bright sunny days?” I don’t know, but I have a sneaking suspicion it’s longer than the evening of one day, where as the sun set, the webcam could pick out the bright colors of both flags, to the following morning, when they were virtually pure white. And what is the meaning of “bleach” - faded how much? In the entire history of the bridge, we can safely presume that the flags didn’t suddenly astonish everyone by turning pure white.
Also you didn’t forget that inverse-negative thing of one of the flags, did you? Kind of hard for bleaching to do that.
There, has enough time been wasted on this obviously inapplicable idea? Because I’m done with it.
