Ukraine launched an extraordinary attack on Vladimir Putin tonight by publishing a horrific picture of a dead baby and accusing the Russian president of having the blood of the infant victim of flight MH17 on his hands.
Senior government advisor Anton Gerashchenko today stepped up the rhetorical attack on the Kremlin by posting the picture with a message to Mr Putin saying: 'This baby's death is on your conscience', before adding 'Damn you for centuries!'
He said that he agonised over whether to publish the image of the tiny corpse lying in a ploughed field. MailOnline has chosen not to publish the photograph because it is too upsetting.

Pshaaw! Wait till Iran has the bomb. After all, Russia won’t be the one to push the launch button.
Yesterday liveleak had a video of part of the wreckage bodies and all. The media has a duty to show the public such things so that we will know the full impact of such events. The suppression of the images of 9-11 has lead to it being mostly forgotten.
Why is it all on Putin’s conscience? Why did our country elect a lip flapper just for the purpose of gay rights, baby killing, medical system destruction, energy destruction, erosion of freedoms, handouts to all, bigotry and other assaults against us?
Why is the so-called leader of the free world a crusader for a bunch of sheyt and not a true leader of this country?
What conscience?
“...Why did our country elect a lip flapper just for the purpose of gay rights, baby killing, medical system destruction, energy destruction, erosion of freedoms, handouts to all, bigotry and other assaults against us?...”
He was just so well-spoken for a Negro and he was just so trendy and...
That’s a good analogy...anyone that would help Iran create nuclear weapons is evil.
Thank you for that comment.I felt extreme anger at the decision to not to publish the picture, although subsequently, I discovered that the New York Times had published the "offending" image, which was universally criticized, by among others, the Mexican public and its press, which did also publish it, with a prior accompanying caution.
Why my anger? Because the Mexican press published images in 2001 that the American public was prevented from seeing by its nanny government and its mainstream media. To this day. Because they were too "gruesome and disturbing."
I have not met nor known of anyone more squeamish than myself, and yet I wanted to release any reluctance at justification for maximum hate and revulsion at the perpetrators.
Humanity has produced many historical mass murders beyond comprehension, most of them the result of political ideology, including during the 20th century. Some however the result of religious fanaticism.
The baby image in question is respectful and in no way catering to idle curiosity, and it underscores the usually unseen and unknown agony of others. The dead baby is not in any way recognizable by anyone.
But above all else, it reminds us of the daily inhumanity in the world seemingly everywhere, and the inability of the rest of us to produce the outrage necessary, someday to rise up and put a stop to it, by whatever means are necessary.
Yes I was compelled to find the image, view it and not simply dismiss it as another senseless but too common statistic. I felt I owed that much to the unknown child.
If the crash is the result of someone knowingly targeting a civilian passenger plane then sure.
But in this case there is some evidence the shooters thought they were hitting a military transport plane in a warzone.
So if hitting an civilian airliner was accident, then publishing gory pics might only serve to increase tension and escalate conflict. Or is that the goal?
Ukraine accidentally shot down a passenger plane in 2001. Should gore pics of babies been published there?
I looked at the Liveleak video and have seen some pictures in foreign media.
I can understand that in a fire, clothes will be burned off, but I don’t understand how the clothes are off on some people here and the body isn’t burned. Also, some people have some clothes on, but not the whole outfit.
Also, at 30,000’, would people pass out once the fuselage is breached or is there air at that level? I can only hope that people were unconscious when they hit the ground.
The US accidentally shot down a civilian airliner during the Iran Iraq war. Over 200 civilians died.
I doubt this was deliberate since 2 other airlines carrying troops were shot down in the same area.
“Why did our country elect a lip flapper just for the purpose of gay rights, baby killing, medical system destruction, energy destruction, erosion of freedoms, handouts to all, bigotry and other assaults against us?”
Free stuff, demographics, and to hear some women describe it, “that smile.”
I don't know.
I was just expressing my opinion about this incident.
The jury is still out as to whether this was an accident, a deliberate act or simply incompetence with a smidgen of criminal negligence on the part of the Russian political leadership..
I do not see this as a deliberate act. What could they have gained from such a thing?
Needless death like this in any country from any event is tragic and should be condemned.
In that vein, I call on the authors to publish the pictures of the dead children washed up on the banks of the Rio Grande and to further “damn you to hell for centuries” on Mr. Obama.
Too bad we aren’t able to publish photos of the 55 million babies WE have slaughtered on the altar of DEMOCRAT progressive abortion.
And don’t forget that he was “clean and articulate,” according to Joe Biden.
There was no accident here. These pigs intentionally shot down that plane. And, when they did intentionally shoot down that plane, they did not have any reason to believe that it was a military transport plane. These pigs just didn't care.
These are the folks that Putin left in charge of weapons capable of downing commercial airliners. Putin is as incompetent as the idiots he left in charge of these rockets.
