RUSTON, La. Peach orchards at Mitcham Farms, near the north Louisiana city of Ruston, have survived winter freezes, droughts and dangerous hail storms. But they evidently will not survive the Environmental Protection Agency and its regulations.
The family-owned business, established in 1946 and featured in tourism magazines, is Louisianas largest peach orchard, according to its website, but owner Joe Mitcham expects hell close up shop in only a few years.

Rather close the EPA than the peach farm.
Is it January, 2017, yet?

So, the EPA (End Progress Altogether) has killed methyl bromide as a pest control agent.
Wonder which crony is standing in the wings with a (more expensive) replacement?
It's GOOD to be a "crony":

This is the same EPA that banned over-the-counter asthma inhalers. They’ll have no problem killing off peach and other farmers.

One by one the EPA is destroying them all, inch by inch. Bird, Bug, or Cricket,
there'll always be a reason for the EPA to kill an industry.
The EPA is run by Greens who are Communists by their own actions and must
make a name for themselves like lawmakers do.
Agenda21, maybe. Any direction they can push their cause is good enough for them.

Oh, and the Ozone scare fell off the MSM lips because it's BS science.
Looks like they're resurrecting it. It's a LIE!

Say goodbye to southern grown strawberries.

Republicans won’t close the EPA. If they could, which they can’t, they wouldn’t.

If they're going to drive peach orchids out of business and the price of peaches through the roof it's time for the South to secede.

Quick research finds a website from
Champion Millennium Chemicals.
Gee, I wonder who we can thank for this one? Oh, yeah -
The problem with methyl bromide is that, according to the United Nations, this gas is destroying the ozone layer at a rate fifty times faster than CFCs (Freon). Methyl bromide is also very toxic to humans and animals.
More ozone layer hysteria from the green tyrants at the UN. If this were true, the people using it would have been dropping like flies. The orchard would be hip deep in corpses by now if it were THAT toxic.
-------
Convenient how the 'suggested replacement' chemical is from Dow, too. I know they're a huge company, but I NEVER hear of any other company's name mentioned in this kind of thing.

I know, but we still have to demand it.
If we desert the field of battle by no longer demanding that OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS set it right, they will continue to enslave us!
Silence, to them, is approval of their actions and votes.
