The Secret Service has started deploying specialized canine units to help protect the area around the White House grounds, where tourists flock day and night to catch a glimpse of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Although the Secret Service has used police dogs since 1976 to screen areas for presidential visits, this is the first time theyre being broadly deployed among the general public.(emphasis added)

They just have to use the dogs. They just HAVE to. You see, they HAVE to use the dogs because the fences around the White House just don’t work. :o)

Napoleon in Animal Farm protected himself with dogs too. The picture of the Animal Farm pigs walking on two legs would fit right in on this thread.

I wonder if Obama ever thinks one of them would look good for dinner?

I wonder if he’s having nightmares about pitchforks and torches.

He sure is careful about the border at the White House, too bad he doesn’t care about the border for the nation...typical Obama, it’s all about him, his safety, his family...to hell with the rest if us peasants.

My father in law saw Benito hanging from the hook. he said it was one of the coolest things he had ever seen.My father in law was at the same place/same time after trekking through North Africa.
He told me he and a friend heard that Benito was hanging out at a certain location, and they proceeded to go to see the spectacle. They were previously instructed to avoid the area that they would have to pass through, as it was not safe. As they proceeded, they passed German units that had surrendered, but still had weapons. When they saw what they would have to pass through, they turned around and went back to their unit.
So, my father in law was there, probably 27 years old, but did not get to see il Duce.

Problem with that is that they are muzzled. Pointless.
Just like French dogs today. Protecting the Louvre without any teeth. It’s like the cops without guns.

Problem with that is that they are muzzled. Pointless. Unless the muzzles have a "quick release" feature.

Not sure what to think of this.
Dogs are out in the open patrolling all the time. So big deal. Not real shocking. Biggest problem is whether it is worth the cost.
