Disgraced ex-IRS official Lois Lerner actually printed out some of her missing emails, according to a statement by her attorney.
Lerners lawyer Bill Taylor initially claimed that Lerner did not print out and file her emails, as the Federal Records Act required her to do, before they allegedly went missing in a 2011 computer crash and her hard drive was recycled by the IRS. Taylor also claimed that Lerner did not think it was required, despite clear instructions for employees on the IRS website. But now the story is changing.
Taylor told a Virginia-based publication Wednesday that Lerner printed out some of her emails.
During her tenure as Director of Exempt Organizations, she did print out some emails, although not every one of the thousands she sent and received, Taylor said.
The computer crash episode, in which the IRS has claimed that seven different employees in Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati experienced email-destroying computer crashes, has riled Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill, but there may be new hope that the emails could see the light of day.
Judge Emmit Sullivan will rule Thursday in U.S. District Court as to whether the independent group Judicial Watch can obtain Lerners emails under a Freedom of Information Act request that the IRS has stonewalled. Judicial Watch told The Daily Caller that there are numerous possible decisions Sullivan could make, ranging from ordering the IRS to release the emails to merely asking the scandal-plagued agency for further information about its email-restoring programs.
Congressional investigators will be watching Thursdays ruling closely.

The closer she gets to a jail cell the more emails she will discover. :-)
We can bet any emails she printed out and have been found will put her in the best possible light.
Ping.
Everybody in govt above the level of janitor should be waterboarded until we have all the truth.
Q: “Were you lying then or are you lying now?” #THEEVERCHANGINGSTORY
Perhaps. But I think what has happened here is that someone has let her know that she did make some copies and that those copies were sent to the archives as required by law.
Do I think any of those that are eventually turned over will be incriminating? Do I think that even in the archives these documents are safe from Obama's Thugs?
You can guess my answers. But NO would be a good guess.
Ignorance of the law is only a valid defense for the ruling class. Don't you peasants go thinking the same thing applies to you, ESPECIALLY when the IRS or EPA are involved. They're special.
Unexpected. BTT
To be honest, I don’t understand this “print all your emails” business. I couldn’t imagine printing all the emails I produce and receive.
But bureaucracies do things in strange ways that waste time and money...intentionally.
It’s a stupid law, but the peasants are expected to obey many stupid laws. Lois broke the law.
Just the “good” emails tho, the bad ones will still be difficult to find.
Some regulations regarding records retention haven’t caught up with the digital age...
If ever there needed to be one, its now. So Where is the special prosecutor already, damned wimpy republicans?
"I was asked by a Republican lobbyist to investigate a Tea Party exemption application. I emailed the President to see if I could do this. He said, "No...we will never, ever break the law".
