USA Today articles are headline and link only.
Maybe ...but American cannot kick the can down the road much longer.
It’s how we got into this jackpot!
I am of the opinion that Gohmert or Cruz should submit a list of grievances against MAObama, one which could and should be used ultimately in an impeachment vote. It would be extensive, and it would always be there to remind the people just what a treasonous louse he is.
Yes I do recall the House voting to impeach Bill Clinton.
But I also recall WJC emerging from the whole thing more popular than ever afterwards.
I personally think WJC is vile scumbag with the morals of an alley cat.
I personally think BHO is a radical left Marxist who should be deported to Kenya.
I truly wish my opinion was in the majority in this country. But it isn’t.
That’s how I see it. Everyone knows Obama will never be impeached (especially with the spineless cowards in the GOP). Palin circulated this notion to wake more people up to Obama’s abject lawlessness, especially timed due to the immediate spotlight on the border invasion, and Obama’s refusal to enforce the law.
Let prominent Republicans like Sarah Palin begin to make the case that Obama's behavior is so far beyond acceptable limits that he warrants impeachment. Let others join in. Make the Democrats defend their man on the basis of whether or not he has committed high crimes or misdemeanors. Put them on defense. They charge us with being political, we charge them with high crimes and misdemeanors-who wins?
Conduct hearings by way of exploration of potential impeachable offenses. Coordinate this with the run-up to the November election.
These are the things the Democrats would do to a Republican in like circumstances. Even allowing for the fact that they would enjoy the support of the media and the Republicans would have to withstand media opposition, if handled right the whole project can be very beneficial to the Republicans cause.
Alas, there is not a chance in the world that these Republicans led by the likes of John Boehner will do any of it absent some sort of smoking gun.
I wonder if Thad would vote to impeach?
It is not the responsibility of the House to gauge the probability of a conviction in the Senate. If the House believes that Obama has committed high crimes and misdemeanors and has consistently engaged in a pattern of lawlessness, then it is their constitutional duty to vote on articles of impeachment. Anything less is a dereliction of their own sworn oaths.
I don’t give a damn about the political ramifications. The members of the House have a duty at this time to impeach him and the members of the Senate have the same duty to remove him from office.
If we can’t convince Freepers (of all people) of this fact, then the country is indeed lost.
Obama may never be removed from office. But that does not relieve Boehner and the House from their sworn duty to defend the Constitition against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
Boehner is a looser. Boehner has allowed Obama to run roughshod over America for the past 5 years and now he is an expert?
PLEASE.
As for Buchanan, who elected him to ANYTHING - EVER??
Exactly. You'll end up with a "show" trial - waste of money, and a lack of commitment from the legislators to see the laws actually enforced. You also see the impeached acting as if it was a badge of honor, and further polarize and divide the country.
And even if we were teleported into an alternate reality in which the House and the Senate actually voted to impeach and remove BHO, do we really want Biden as President?
We're stuck, and BHO knows this.
.... As Mr. Issa is currently discovering in the IRS scandal ... there are so many enigmatic and diversionary levels and layers of protection set up to protect the One who came to destroy America, that it would be next to impossible to do so. Then ... if you were indeed able to Impeach him ... It doesn't mean he would leave office .... he could easily just remain in the Oval Office just as Clinton did.
Boehner is often wrong, but this time Boehner is right.
Think ahead. What do we gain by impeachment today?
I am all for impeaching the little rat b@st@rd but we need desperately to give it a chance to succeed. Failure is not a good option unless you want this commie to stay in office at least another 2 years. With Harry Reid controlling the mafia in the Senate, it has no chance of succeeding now.
Yes.
And knowing the way Harry Reid operates, he would just laugh and never bring it up for a vote in the Senate.
Reid runs the US Senate with an iron fist and promptly squashes anything and everything that comes out of the House.
Great minds you know ..:)
LOL!!!!!!!!!
Now thats funny. :)
People can’t seem to think straight when talking about Boehner .which I understand - he’s so weak, clueless and ineffective. Maybe corrupt.
But you right - in this particular case ..logic dictates he is right.
I agree with Buchanan. Personally I say pass on impeachment and wait til it gets bad enough to just skip to removal and incarceration. That’s prolly only mos away anyhoo.
WRONG!
The Founders gave impeachment duty to Congress because the Founders WANTED such decisions to be POLITICAL!
Congress is allowed to let politics play a roll, but the Courts should not bend to popular will or politics.
It is the duty of MY Congressman to support his conservative District and do his best to avoid giving up his seat to the opposition because of a stupid decision.
NOBODY has a “duty” to impeach anyone. It is a choice and at this time it is a bad choice.
Agree. But it would be fun to circulate the rumor amongst US schoolkids that impeachment = they get their normal lunches back.
