On June 28, 2014, Merrill Hope reported for Breitbart Texas on how the Obama administration was using the 1982 United States Supreme Court opinion in Plyler v. Doe, 457 U.S. 202 (1982), to pressure the states, including Texas, to provide elementary and secondary education at taxpayer expense to children who are illegal immigrants.

Providing schools, like hospital emergency rooms, are at the earlier stages of amnesty. It is a provision of amenities that they would have in their home countries, only better. It lessens the need to self-deport. While they stay with all the comforts of a modern society, treasonous rogue political elements find ways to electorally take advantage.
Constitutionally, no. Supreme Courtally, yes.
States are constitutionally required to do whatever der Führer und Reichskanzler orders.
They are illegal aliens, or even invaders.
They are not ‘immigrants’, illegal or otherwise.
Stupid question, as up until just the last few decades the federal government wasn’t involved in educating even citizen children.
If they are going to remain in the US and reside here (which is likely to be the end result), then by all means, YES, do educate them—to mainstream them into US culture.
They need to know English, British constitutional history,
the meaning of 1620, etc.
Like all other immigrant groups, they can join the melting pot.
Otherwise, we will end up with a southern version of Quebec—a part of the country with a separate culture.
The feds have no authority, per the U.S. Constitution, to be involved in education. That power is reserved to the States and the people.
LOL. Another good reason to get rid of the NEA.
They will, however, inform the kids all about how the white men stole the SW from Mexico.
If we are to save this country there's only one thing to do with these kids - send them home NOW.
we will end up with a southern version of Quebeca part of the country with a separate culture.”
Come on down to parts of Texas. There are many towns between Houston and the border that are 100% Mexican. I would hate to guess how many hundreds of thousands of them living in Houston cannot or choose not to speak a word of English. There are more AM radio stations and TV stations that are Spanish than English.
Bottom line is that the US taxpayers will be footing the bill for this Obama children’s crusade whether it is through state or federal taxes is irrelevant. These kids should be loaded on ships and sent back to where ever they came from. The home countries should be told unless they repatriate these kids ALL US aid to them will end, no visas for their citizens to enter the US will be issued and there bank accounts in the US will be frozen. The same should be done to Mexico until they stop the flow of these kids through their country.
Look for TB and other diseases to spread through our public schools.
Is the President Constitutionally Required to Deport Illegal Immigrant Children?
Some states have in their state constitutions an inherent, unalienable right to an education. If rights in the state constitutions are intrepretated as some rights in the us constitution (such as speech, religion, etc) as independent from citizenship. Then I could see a pathway to force those states to do this.
Not saying I agree, just that there may be a legal basis.
Is there immunization for TB? I have kids and I’ve never heard that mentioned at the doctor’s office. And what about head lice and scabies? The kids may be treated but their never ending supply of relatives coming over from Mexico will have them.
*******
That 1982 Supreme Court ruling is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:
1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."
2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."
3. Felony: We must finally declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony.
Illegal parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?
I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.
Illegal foreigners need to be deported not educated
