Various states, including Texas, may want to provide a taxpayer-funded elementary and secondary education to illegal immigrants. But they should not say that the Supreme Court requires them to do so. Nor should they allow the Obama administration to falsely state that the Supreme Court requires them to.

Providing schools, like hospital emergency rooms, are at the earlier stages of amnesty. It is a provision of amenities that they would have in their home countries, only better. It lessens the need to self-deport. While they stay with all the comforts of a modern society, treasonous rogue political elements find ways to electorally take advantage.

Constitutionally, no. Supreme Courtally, yes.

They are illegal aliens, or even invaders.

They are not ‘immigrants’, illegal or otherwise.

Stupid question, as up until just the last few decades the federal government wasn’t involved in educating even citizen children.

Bottom line is that the US taxpayers will be footing the bill for this Obama children’s crusade whether it is through state or federal taxes is irrelevant. These kids should be loaded on ships and sent back to where ever they came from. The home countries should be told unless they repatriate these kids ALL US aid to them will end, no visas for their citizens to enter the US will be issued and there bank accounts in the US will be frozen. The same should be done to Mexico until they stop the flow of these kids through their country.

Some states have in their state constitutions an inherent, unalienable right to an education. If rights in the state constitutions are intrepretated as some rights in the us constitution (such as speech, religion, etc) as independent from citizenship. Then I could see a pathway to force those states to do this.

Not saying I agree, just that there may be a legal basis.
