I live by one dietary rule.
If it tastes good, I eat it.
I’m no one to brag about human form, unless you’re fond of pears. LOL
was at dinner with 2 other couples recently. It took 45 minutes to order - “Is this gluten free?”, “I’m a lacto-ovo vegetarian so do you use any ...?”, “I have a nut allergy....”
I really enjoy watching her eat a ‘hamburger’ with no bun. rofl
#FARFRUMGLUTEN
LOL! Apples? Sometimes I feel like Mr. Potato Head.
There’s nothing wrong with carbs. It’s what you do WITH the carbs. Carbs are engery, eat em and sit on your couch and bad things happen; eat em on a hike or before hitting the bike trail and they’ll help you finish the trip safely.
Here is another new ‘urban legend’ debunked, this time about low salt diets.
If you have heart problems, better read and consider the evidence. Low salt can kill you.
Careful. I got slam-hammered on here once after making reference about bacon by someone who is alergic to pork products. (Other than a mus-slime)
Sure.
He does call for Splenda in the dessert section which I personally don’t really use anymore (not sure of it’s safety) but you can just substitute whatever sweetener you do use.
Sugar?
I tried one of those all the veggies one could eat, but little meat, bread, etc, diet.
I noticed no matter how much lettuce salad I consumed, I always had a gnawing hungry feeling.
Finally, I said heck with this, and fixed some steak. The hunger dissipated almost immediately. Conclusion: Veggies are okay to supplement, but we are meat eaters.

The main culprit seems to be carbs, because the body changes those into sugar.
I can tell you gluten sensitivity/allergy is real. My older son has very definite reactions. A specialized blood test showed antibodies to gluten. The key offender is a seven amino acid peptide. In the string, in the fourth position, is a “misplaced” amino acid.
The theory is that the resulting misbinding to neural receptors results in what is called “synapse clipping”.
The behavioral changes are striking and disturbing.
So long as he avoids gluten containing foods he is relatively fine.
I myself am on the seafood diet - if I see food, I eat it.
Everybody in America does that.
eat em on a hike or before hitting the bike trail
Nobody does that.
I’m a big fan of sugar-free banana pudding and chocolate whipped cream
I don’t think that it’s nice to make fun of glutens. Glutens are people too! Some of my best friends are glutens. I dated a gluten once in college. I think our society suffers from an intolerance towards glutens.
Look at the University of Massachusetts......The Fighting Glutens. Where is their tolerance?
The body starts converting starch into sugar, the instant it contacts saliva in your mouth.
What works for one person may not another. Personally I wouldn’t keep a friend that made fun of me.
Eat margarine, not butter. No wait, eat butter instead.
Don't eat egg yolks, eat the whites only. No, wait...
Don't eat bacon. Don't eat red meat. Don't eat bread. Don't eat peanut butter. Don't eat fish, it's high in mercury. Don't eat cheese, it's high in fat. Don't eat potatoes. Don't eat white rice, eat brown rice instead. Eat shrimp, no wait, nevermind.
