Whites in Zimbabwe can own businesses and urban apartments but not land, according to the country’s president, Robert Mugabe, who called for the removal of white farmers in a fiery speech to a group of supporters on Wednesday.
“We say no to whites owning our land and they should go,” the 90 year-old Mugabe told the crowd, gathered in Mhangura, a farming village, according to the Christian Science Monitor.
“They can own companies and apartments…but not the soil. It is ours and that message should ring loud and clear in Britain and the United States.”
“Don’t be too kind to white farmers. Land is yours, not theirs,” Mugabe added.....

It also should be a lesson to Freepers who think things eventually would get so bad that reason will kick in. Just as the idiots in Venezuala who stand in line for toilet paper and when questioned by reporters still blame the rich. Rhodesia also had a dark side of history. 5 percent of pop is white on independence, but they thought they can deprive 95 percent of the pop who is black equal political and economic rights. Problem is such society was vulnerable to Soviet sponsored liberation movements with the aim of taking over and use it as a base to attack mineral rich South Africa. Mistreating people have consequences, especially if they are the majority in country and the stupid one is the minority. Lesson learn, because you say you are sorry and surrender does not mean the victim will forgive and forget. If the whites are smart, get out of the country. I hear the leader of Mozambique is welcoming white farmers. They are needed to help the agriculture in Mozambique, and many Rhodesians whites are doing very well. Farmers are sometimes strange, because they develop an affinity to their land, even staying to their own detriment and harm.

I agree. Whites sticking around are only waiting for the inevitable. How about whites leave and let’s see how the natives survive without modern amenities? They can’t even dig a well over there.

This is not unusual. US citizens can’t buy land in Mexico, they can only lease it long term. Same with Indian Reservations and if your not native Hawaiian you can only lease the land long term.

You are right. Here is the biggest irony, blacks in the US are taught how bad the white Rhodesians were to the African blacks, yet blacks in the US are never taught to be sensitive when they are encouraged to disparage the majority whites in an unfair manner or incurr reverse diwscrimination without thinking about the long term consequences.
