Just in time for the Fourth of July, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it has added a new regulatory weapon to its arsenal.

In a Federal Register notice on July 2 titled “Administrative Wage Garnishment,” the EPA stated that by the authority of the Debt Collection Improvement Act (DCIA ) of 1996 it issued a proposed rule that “will allow the EPA to garnish non-Federal wages to collect delinquent non-tax debts owed the United States without first obtaining a court order.” According to the Treasury Department, under DCIA, such debts include “unpaid loans, overpayments or duplicate payments made to federal salary or benefit payment recipients, misused grant funds, and fines, penalties or fees assessed by federal agencies.”

The republicans I will be voting for in 2014 and 2016 will have to answer a simple question: how do you intend to go about rolling back the EPA and other federal agencies to their original missions. Without a good answer, I won’t bother voting. Let the Dem win. It won’t make any difference.

Strategy against those farmers out west in battle with EPA- if you won’t give us the land we want, we will drain your bank account and then you will lose everything on top of the land you refused to give us....

Been saying that for a while now. Unfortunately, there exists a faction here on FR that apparently hates freedom & liberty, and are willing to be lapdogs for a given candidate simply because there's an (R) next to their name. Horrible.

This sounds like the same slight they did to the Bundy Ranch.

Why does the EPA need to garnish a wage? Isn’t that the IRS’ job? Wait, I guess they are busy running healthcare or something.

Nothing makes sense.

Because global warming, err global cooling, ... well.. its climate change is going to kill us all unless we tax the crap out of energy.

Look at that hurricane a few hours ago.

Repent, raise energy taxes and buy carbon credits like Al Gore does and pray that is enough to save us.

The science is settled.

AHHH, you remembered, Thanks!
I still have that one on my DVR. I Loved it as a kid and still do now.

I think part of it is I prefer the cooler months to the warmer months.

I had some fun on immigration here at #3 playing GOPe RINO.
