(Must see video...Ugh)
The limitless imagination of the American marketing mind came to the fore again this week, as a San Francisco Burger King franchise unveiled its Proud Whopper in honor of LGBT Week.
Its exactly the same as a regular flame-grilled Whopper, but inside its rainbow-colored wrapper read the words, We are all the same inside.
Senior Vice President Fernando Machado told Fox News, It showcases who we are as a brand. It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression.
The fast food chain even produced a video to highlight the campaign, ending with a little girl yelling, I love my two mommies, although only one restaurant is in on the promotion.

but where do you put the weiner?
when someone pointed out that there appeared to be a typo that changed “angus burger” to “anus burger” bk staff said it wasn’t a typo.
Their burgers taste like they are made of ground up cardboard....................
I like BK, and I don’t really have a big problem with gays, but I really don’t want to be thinking of two guys together when I’m ordering or eating a burger. Puts me off my food. Especially in connection with something called a “Whopper”, which in my mind in this context has some unpleasant associations.
Saddest and loneliest little Burger King you've ever seen in your life.
lol
The food is awful. We have not stopped in years.
Yes, and the target demographic for this promotion has a different man inside them.
(sorry I couldn’t resist!)
Of course, now, they'd probably rename it...
Wait for it...
The Ghaler.
you and me both.
I like Burger King, but because of what’s been going on in this country, I won’t be back. All that the conservatives in this country can do is resist. That’s what I will be doing. If Burger King chooses to accommodate the homosexuals (2%), they can forget conservatives like me. Let’s see how that works out for them.
A burger can’t be gay and can’t be proud. Anybody who buys one to feel proud has a problem in the head.
People who are proud of themselves don’t need to go around with “proud” banners. People who are ashamed do.
It’s the parent company. The official BK webpage links to a commercial for the fag burger.
Can’t imagine that this won’t greatly harm BK franchisees in the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho...also across the South.
I haven’t eaten fast food in some years now...but if I do it certainly won’t be BK.
Since they print bible verses on their cups and wrappers, I think they might come down on chik-fil-a’s side.
“It showcases who we are as a brand. It shows how we, as a brand, believe in self-expression.”
WTF does that even mean!?
I hope one of the SF homeless goes into a BK and self-expresses himself by defecating on their floor.
"Have it your way" BK. But without me.
I guess their theme will no longer start with “hold the pickle”. They certainly want that...perhaps it will go "hold his pickle"?. And the carpet munchers will certainly crave for the “filet o fish” BK will supply this even when it's not lent.
I don’t think we need to worry about In-and-Out Burger going gay. It’s a family-owner, Christian company, with a Bible verse inside the rim on the bottom of each drink cup. . .
