Much as it pains me to say it, it's time to put Party Unity first.

While this viewpoint is likely to be somewhat unpopular, I point to what is perhaps one of Ronald Reagan’s most worthy observations (second only to the one in my sigline) — his Eleventh Commandment.

If Thad was going to help reduce the size of government, he would not have spent his entire career bring pork to Mississippi, still the poorest state in the union. McDaniel needs to aggressively pursue every avenue to identify illegal voting. If this farce of an election is not overturned, he needs to run as a write-in candidate.
We must challenge all instances of corruption at every level.

I already had one foot out the door concerning the RINO run Republican party. Thank you Thad Cochran for convincing me to be on my way for good.

If anybody thinks that Thad Cochran is anything but a bag of meat animated by his staff to carry out the orders of Haley Barbour then they are naive beyond comprehension. If they do know this and still think Cochran should be seated they are as corrupt as the Democrats.
To: koanhead
Right, we’ll unify with Cochran in “not obstructing Obama”. When hell freezes over.

Much as it pains me to say it, it's time to put Party Unity firstAfter a few decades of voting for the "lesser of two evils" we now get pure evil dedicated to defeating constitutional conservatives, from those who want "party unity".
You want "party unity"? Cochran can go out in style, saying he's not proud of the actions of his campaign, and step aside. The nomination goes to McDaniels. Otherwise, there is no party. I'd rather not have a majority in the US Senate with what we've seen from the majority of the 'pubs who would control that majority.

You can shove your party unity. I'm not a republican. I'm a conservative.

Ya, let’s get behind the RINOs, they have a winning record... when the party establishment pisses on you and tells you to like it, that it’s for your own good, I say screw party unity. Hope Thad and the rest of you “Party Twits” reap the whirlwind to which you have sewn.

Just as Israel is condemned by much of the world for refusing to negotiate with enemies whose opening negotiation position is for Israel to be destroyed, what you're proposing is that we conservatives shut up, "play nice" and act in accord with the GOPE establishment who have publicly and loudly denounced us as bigots and now as kooks, who lie, steal and cheat (against fellow Republicans) to hold onto their individual power, and whose leaders have set a goal to destroy us.
God bless the soul of Ronald Reagan ... and I don't think his "Eleventh Commandment" applies to the duplicitous people who lead and who make up a significant portion of the Republican Party which has rejected many of Reagan's principles.
