A rather exasperated President Barack Obama pressed Congress to find a solution to the looming Highway Trust Fund crisis, arguing "it's not socialism" to want to build new highways and bridges in the country.
"It's not crazy. It's not socialism. It's not the imperial presidency,"

"It's not like they've been busy with other stuff! No, seriously," Obama said.
Republicans and Democrats in Congress are still divided on both a short-term solution to finance highway projects through the rest of the year and a long-term fix for the shortfall. Two senators introduced a bipartisan plan to incrementally raise the 18.4 cents-per-gallon gas tax, however there is little political appetite for such a move in an election year.
Obama repeated a warning that more than 700,000 jobs could be at risk next year if Congress does not figure out how to replenish the nearly depleted trust fund. In a letter to state officials Tuesday, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx warned Tuesday the fund would run dry sometime next month, at the height of the summer traveling and construction season.
Also on Tuesday, Foxx warned the Obama administration will begin delaying reimbursements to states for infrastructure projects on Aug. 1 if Congress cannot come up with a solution.
In his remarks, Obama laid the blame for the looming crisis on congressional Republicans, tying it to his recent complaints they aren't passing enough legislation to solve problems. Obama also said, in general, that he would continue to pursue the use of executive actions where he saw opportunity, making light of House Speaker John Boehner's plan to file a lawsuit against him.
"So sue me!" he said. "As long as they're doing nothing, I'm not going to apologize for doing something."

This means its all he denied then.
tic, tic, tic
I think this is described as “Gotten to”.
The biggest shovel ready job, The Keystone Pipeline, a private venture at that, only required your approval.
Its a little man looking for a legacy his will be a great one the LAST President of the United States
“I’m not a crook”
“I’m not a commie”
“I’m not a Muslim”
What did the last 310 billion get us?
What did the stimulus get us?
Don’t just ask for more of my money without demonstrating need.
A failure to spend well does not mean you get more.
This from a president that said yesterday he was going to implement his program without Congress.
He is beginning to sound a little unhinged.
Of course, Congress has been busy. Busy bending over. They know it’s either his way or the highway.
“So sue me!” he said.

Jeez, if only the Repugs in Congress had a pair between all of them - that would happen.
Its all he's ever spent our money on.
Every other year we need higher taxes to fix roads and bridges ... sooner or later someone is going to have to guts to ask where these repaired roads and bridges are.
I think Sen. Corker from TN was a co-sponsor of that bill. When I got word of the bill, I called his office and told them that early in Zero’s presidency a stimulus was passed to deal with the road and bridges issues. I told them that I wasn’t interested in any more taxes, but I was interested in Fast and Furious, IRS Scandal, Benghazi, etc and that someone needed to go to jail for them. Also, that Obama should be impeached!
The problem with Obama and his relationship with the public is:
He lacks empathy for The People.
He looks down on The People and considers them subjects to be ruled over.
He lies, omits key facts, or doesn’t tell you everything he knows. Context is very important when making deals ith the devil.with
He has hidden agendas he doesn’t tell you about.
He will use any means to achieve his goals even if they are unconstitutional, against the wishes of The People, or cause harm or financial distress to The People or the Republic.
In simple terms, he’s not the man for the job.
Im not a crook
Im not a commie
Im not a Muslim
Except I never hear him deny #3 anymore.
But do even the republicans raise this wasteful practice as a source of highway capital? Apparently not.
Yes, it is.
Yes, it is.
Yes, it is.
