A veterans organization has called on Americans to boycott Mexican products and vacations until jailed U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi is freed, The Washington Times reported.
Tahmooressi, 25, of Weston, Florida, has been held in a Mexican jail for nearly three months after he crossed the border carrying three firearms not registered in the country.
Now the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the nations oldest and largest veterans group, is demanding his safe return while urging a boycott until his release.
"This combat Marine has been languishing away since he was arrested March 31 for allegedly crossing the border accidentally with three personal firearms that were legally registered in the [United States] but not in Mexico," said VFW National Commander William Thien, according to the Times. "It was a mistake, but so is the Mexican governments reluctance to release him unharmed back to the U.S."
Thien said he has urged President Barack Obama to intervene by calling Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, but his request failed to result in a phone call between the two leaders.

Okay.
I’ll mow my own grass....................
We should have started boycotting Mexico decades ago.
This useless President of ours spent HOURS playing golf, hours snarling traffic in Manhattan, NY to do a fundraiser, yet, won’t even spend a few minutes on the phone with the Mexican President on this issue.
In the meantime, he prioritizes freeing 5 terrorists in order to take in a deserter.
Thank you America for voting for this POS.

One, he’s a Marine.
Two, leftists hate the military.
Three, Obozo could not care less if there’s nothing in it for him...............
Sound great but since the “recovery” has gone so well. I don’t really buy much of anything, so my saying I am boycotting someone would be a hollow gesture.
Where’s his Platoon mates? Surely they can improvise a “black-op” that’ll spring him.
I wouldn’t travel to Mexico if someone gave me a free vacation. “Third world country” doesn’t even begin to describe that cesspool.
In winter most of our fresh produce comes from Mexico. If I see the word “Mexico” on any product, I put it back. Those people don’t know anything about hygiene and food safety.
"How can we reduce gun violence?"
"My son's tuition is too high"
"What can we do to promote more girls into men's careers?"
"How do you get the President to speak at your commencement?"
It seems the public isn't interested in the Marine jailed in Mexico, or Lois Lerner's "lost" Emails or her targeting of Senators, or Obamacare lies and failures or NSA lies and overreaches or EPA "lost" emails and lies and overreaches or DOJ failure to appoint special prosecutors or ISIS takeover of the middle east, or Obama'a release of 5 Taliban commanders from Gitmo in exchange for a traitor, blah blah blah blah blah...
Four, he’s not a muslim.
True dat...............
“If I see the word Mexico on any product, I put it back. Those people dont know anything about hygiene and food safety.”
Yeah stick to the chines stuff. We make all these laws about food safety and then we import food from countries that don’t follow those laws. Why does that make sense?
Amen to that. . . I don’t buy produce from Mexico (at least to my knowledge). Just think of ALL the products from there laden with germs. OK. . . .I am not a germaphobe.

About 20 years ago there was a special on TV about the lack of sanitation in Mexican tomato fields. It was disgusting.
I haven’t bought a tomato from Mexico since then.
.
It makes sense if your real goal is to drive the USA to third-world status.
The cynical in me says ∅ will wait until just before the November elections before taking action. Maybe.
I’m beginning to think that the freeze dried food is looking better all the time. . . .of course making sure of origin, etc.
