Chris McDaniel, onthe blatantly unethical and illegal tactics employed by Thad Cochran and Haley Barbour in the Mississippi GOP runoff Tuesday
McDaniel: I am a two-term state senator, I have fought for this party my entire life, Ive given money Ive done everything theyve asked me to do and last night, they pulled over 35,000 Democrats into a Republican primary to defeat me we feel betrayed.
Hannity: Do you foresee any circumstance under which you would support this guy? Because I dont think I could do it.
McDaniel: I prayed about it last night my core principle is gonna have a hard time even looking at politics again.
Hannity: You sound like you got punched in the gut. You sound like youve been betrayed.
McDaniel: Sean, I was I have fought for these people. These are my colleagues. They are my friends I dont understand!
But Ted Cruz has bigger fish to fry
I certainly congratulate my colleague, Thad, Cruz said on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin. Cruz reminded the hosts that he did not endorse a candidate in the Mississippi primary, as he promised to stay out of incumbent Senate races.
As does Rand
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a potential 2016 presidential contender, declined to support tea party critics of Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochrans efforts to mobilize non-GOP voters to win the Republican nomination.
Im for more people voting, not less people voting, Paul told reporters Wednesday.
I did vote for Romney in the last election, and that based on a change after the 9/11 Benghazi affair came out. I was so mad at Obama over an obvious attempt to deceive the public, that I figured that in THAT area, there was no way Romney would be that bad. So, though I knew he was a pro-gay, pro-business cronism, pro-national health care, pro-big government, questionably pro-life republican, I decided to support him anyway.
What I cannot do is fault those who thoughtfully came to other conclusions. For those who simply ignore voting, I have a bid of disdain, as well. From that article alone, that is what it sounds like Graham was addressing. I trust you from a long past of discussion. If you say it was more than that, then I accept your analysis.
In that case, I would debate with Graham about those who thoughtfully and carefully decided not to vote for anyone or who decided to vote for an alternative candidate. I have no problem with those people. We ask them to take it seriously, and they do, but then I gripe about their conclusion.

According to state law, write-in candidates are permitted only as the legitimate substitute
of a candidate who has died, resigned, withdrawn or been removed from the race.
That applies to every race, whether its a primary, special or general election at
any level of government, said Pamela Weaver, communications director of the secretary of
states office.
But every election ballot includes a space for write-in candidates, whether or not one
is needed for that race. Its there just in case a write-in does become eligible.
And thats perhaps where the confusion occurs, since some people see the space and assume
write-ins are allowed in all elections.

“Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.”
Or destroyed if you refuse to join the collective.
It’s no longer just abstract thought, one can now “SEE” the whole critter. Eeks, it’s a Monster!
The Tea party needs to get organize and defeat this man even if we lose the seat. After what he said about the Tea Party and McDaniel, we need to make a stand. RINOs are not acceptable.
‘I was betrayed by the GOP establishment...’
Welcome to The Club, Buddy!
And I will go as far as to agree with you that, yes, Thad has done some good things for Mississippi in his 42 yrs, and is to be commended for that.
But we both know Thad wanted to retire, but he either had something held over him,or was just smooth talked into running.
Just think of the legacy this man could have left, stepping aside after his primary “Defeat”, and standing at a podium endorsing the new Mississippi senator and throwing all of his support and weight behind Chris.
So by inference the above means that Thad Cochran will not oppose Obama. Might as well have a real Democrat instead of a phony Republican.
I guess I should have said a phony conservative.
Graham was likely looking at the fact that most people vote for one of two candidates. Would he fault a Christian for choosing a third candidate or staying home based on their conscience? No, absolutely not. (my opinion, of course). We agree.
When it comes to elections, I use the Rumsfield philosophy - you go to war with the army you have. You do everything you can to improve your army, to pick the best personnel, but when the war is upon you.....you go with it.
Thank you for your reasoned responses. I think we actually agree more than we disagree on this subject.
They also have filings for independent candidates in Mississippi. It doesn’t say that they all have ballot access. I’m not sure that this law you’ve cited deals with all the possibilities for write-ins in Mississippi.
Rand has been doing a great job of sinking his own ship with the McConnell endorsement and beyond.......
Using the race card to smear Mr. McDaniel is not “playing by the rules”.
I don’t see a sore loser here, I see the dirtiest of tricks, a smear and the Republican party machine using the worst Democrat tactic of all.
The Republican party doesn't even see how bad this looks for them. We need to get them to pressure Cochran to quit the race. Cochran hasn't denied that the flyer was put out by his campaign. The Republican party needs to remove their endorsement of this man.
Hannity, what a great forum for Liberals. I quit him long ago after his catering to Libs by offering up his show as their platform. He seems to think that he is the great moderator but loses every time.
I saw Rand on Sunday morning talk show I couldn’t believe what he was saying. Giving Obama a complete pass on Iraq! He’s a more dangerous RINO because he tries to create the impression he’s conservative. At least the others show their stripes.
I’ve never TRUSTED Rand Paul... he nor his daddy Ron!
I would NOT vote for either.
Good idea! Thought about that yesterday, that Cocrhan should quit now. He will NOT win in November!
Remember it would not have happen if God didn’t want it to
GOD is in control people
..we must do what we think is right but in end its God call.
How many of U remember people changing from GOP to DNC to vote in some states for Obama or Hillary. It goes on all the time people.
