Chad Pergram works for Fox News, and has been covering the IRS scandal. On Twitter he just dropped a bombshell.

This isn’t political targeting. Its just another horrible but innocent mistake, to add to the thousand other horrible but innocent mistakes that the IRS has made.

Lerner sent a message on her Blackberry, which also includes chatter about the Alamo Bowl. Is that inappropriate use of a government phone? Maybe she should be investigated by the IRS...

The term is “Inherent Contempt” and CONGRESS should Jail every Last one of them til they Talk and NO IMMUNITY for Anyone, they can rot in the Congressional Jail til they talk.
Given what appears to be a media shift on this topic, you’re probably right about the emails and the media has gotten a whiff of what’s there.
Can’t the GOP locate a federal prosecutor in some district who is somewhat independent of the DOJ and a big enough name that Holder wouldn’t fire him to get his Grand Jury to investigate Lois Lerner? She has definitely done enough to indict her. That might put some pressure on her to cough up more information.

It is amazing. Especially since Lerner does not have emails to back up
her testimony. In other words, she can say anything, without being contradicted by lost emails.
Why isn’t Issa calling the tech folks who removed and destroyed the hard
drives to testify?
The GOP does not really want to get to the bottom of this.
It is simply a Kabuki Dance for a campaign issue.
It has nothing to do with holding anyone accountable.
