At Monday's White House Summit on Working Families, first lady Michelle Obama admitted to a few of her own struggles as a working mother while making the case for flexible workplace policies for families.
"The first thing I tried to do, which was a mistake, was that I tried the part-time thing
I realized I was getting gypped on that front," she told ABC's Robin Roberts at the event, which aimed to bring attention to strengthening the nation's workforce by addressing various workplace difficulties. "What happened was I got a part-time salary but worked full time."

Let’s see if NPR does an in-depth article about Michelle’s racist ‘gypped’ remark....:)
Here’s an article from Dec 2013 on the racist term

Maybe if she didn't have to surrender her law license she could have worked full time doing something else that paid less than $500,000 per year?
I think the part time gig worked out pretty sweet for her!
Mooch has a point. She didn’t get her living wage until her 100K salary was tripled soon after her husband got elected to the Senate and could influence funds flowing to her hospital employer. Hypocrites!
So since she got gypped she has decided to gyp a nation.
Five Terms You Might Not Know Are Considered Racist
“Gypped” is arguably the most commonly used racist term in existence today. If someone buys a used car that turns out to be lemon, for instance, hes likely to complain, I got gypped. So, why is the term offensive? Because it equates the Gypsy, or Roma peoples, with being thieves, cheats and con artists. When someone says that they got gypped, they are essentially saying that they were conned.
Explained Jake Bowers, editor of Travellers Times, to British newspaper the Telegraph: Gypped is an offensive word, its derived from Gypsy and its being used in the same context as a person might once have said they jewed somebody if they did an underhand business transaction. But dont take Bowers word for it. If youre still debating whether or not to use the verb gypped, consider that Philip Durkin, principal etymologist at the Oxford English Dictionary told the Telegraph that theres scholarly consensus that the word originated as a racial slur.
Her story makes no sense but even if it happened it is ironic that obama’s policies are forcing business to move from full-time to part-time workers.
All good ideas but I'm REALLY offended! I see no other option than she be forced to retire. Maybe made to sell all of their holdings and then retire but she simply has to go.
She can take the flop-eared fairy with her too.
Gypped?
My wife is a public school teacher for the disabled...mild or more....and now because of Obamacare...the aides that USED to work in her classroom have all quit...actually the whole school corp aides have quit becaused they were GYPPED from working a 40 hr week because the corp didn,t want to have to pay for benefits...so now those teachers and kids will suffer from lack of support....Thanks Barry & Michelle....for messing up a better solution thatn what you dumped on the rest of us!
The first lady described how although she and President Obama were fortunate enough to have hired childcare help, she still battled separation anxiety from her daughters when going to work. Even so, she found it "devastating" when their babysitter left the family to seek other employment opportunities and higher pay.
Washington Gypsies.
Yes. working part time for the (we shall not name) university hospital to convince low-life no-insurance patients to partake of the publica county hospital down the road for $300 THOUSAND dollars a year is getting ‘gypped.’
It’s a wonderment she just didn’t get so fed up and find a better part time job. That poor woman.
If someone hired Michele as part time help,
THEY were the one getting gypped!
Damn you read my mind...
Is Mooch talking about her $380k no-show patronage job that was supposed to develop strategies to divert poor inner city patients (read: blacks) to crappy hospitals?
That’s the job I want to hear more about.
Never met a classy woman who used the word, “Gypp.”
Which, by the way, is short for Gypsy and is a racist slur.
So there you go. Our First Lady.
For a second I thought she said she was groped.
Drooling, sycophantic moronic media.

And completely corrupt. There is more than just liberal ideological sympathies at work — the MSM also has a profitable symbiotic relationship with Obama. Protecting him from criticism has its rewards in terms of access to the administration’s apparatchiks and advance notice of developing stories. Make no mistake, this quid pro quo has a very real monetary aspect to it.
Aw, man! You’re going to have to go to re-education camp for that post!
You gotta get your mind right, FRiend!
You see, Democrat politicians are really like you and I—just regular folk fighting against privilege.
