The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) cancelled its longtime relationship with an email-storage contractor just weeks after ex-IRS official Lois Lerners computer crashed and shortly before other IRS officials computers allegedly crashed.
The IRS signed a contract with Sonasoft, an email-archiving company based in San Jose, California, each year from 2005 to 2010. The company, which partners with Microsoft and counts The New York Times among its clients, claims in its company slogans that it provides Email Archiving Done Right and Point-Click Recovery. Sonasoft in 2009 tweeted, If the IRS uses Sonasoft products to backup their servers why wouldnt you choose them to protect your severs?

Are there no high tech guys in Congress? Isn't there someone like Steve Jobs or Mark Cuban who can stand up and say, "This is complete crap"?
Plenty of people outside Congress know it's BS. It would be nice if someone inside the beltway would call a spade a spade.
As far as I'm concerned, the IRS dishonesty rises to the level of saying, "Yes, we do have a colony on Mars. It's been there for decades."
It's a blatant lie, and everyone knows it. But Obama thinks he can get away with this stuff.
I believe they said they did that and that is when, SURPRISE!! they discovered More hard drive crashes. As if any of this hard drive nonsense has anything to do with it.
Who has the password to the cloud and the key to the vault?
Because they are locations unlisted in any directory. They also move every three to five years to other leased locations within private office buildings. No signs. No listing in the lobbies. The only locations disclosed are the big processing centers. The little local hives are hidden.
Correct. And I believe the IRS is engaged in criminal activities, such as obstruction of justice. If true then the news media is complicit in the criminal activity and may and should be prosecuted under the RICO statutes. We will have to wait until a republican administration is in place to prosecute the activity properly, but that should happen before the statute of limitations runs out. Typically 7-12 years

Exactly.
....and they (the irs) makes US keep EVERYTHING tax-related for SEVEN YEARS, but the head honcho can’t keep HERS???!!!!
grrrrr.....
subpeona that company’s records!!!!
The Obama Administration was simply Lying For Justice.
How many do you think it would take? More than a few thousand would be felt within the agency as Im sure they are not geared up to handle anything like this. We could gum up the system pretty good with an act of true civil disobedience.
This or the pitchforks and torches idea. Im liking them both.
“Why this country is not standing outside every IRS building in this country with pitchforks and flaming torches is beside me.”
Everyone’s sooooo distracted with their dumb-phones, no one except us Patriots cares!
There can be no question, given improbability upon improbability, that that is exactly what happened. The IRS told Sonasoft the contract is cancelled, we'll do it on our own, now you must erase all of the emails you have been archiving for us.
“How about checking Lois Lerners E-mail Recipients Inboxes??”
Already covered by the Odingo Crime Syndicate, there were six others who’s email was “lost” due to crashed computers. Undoubtedly they were Learners co conspirators. The corruption is not just with the IRS Administrators, but the IT Dept. as well. There is a whole lot of people involved, and surely someone will have stumbled across evidence whom were not part of the conspiracy. It’s hard for me to believe this won’t unravel before Odingo leaves office short of Republican complicacy.
Terry Milholland?? Good Grief.

AND how long do they have to keep those paper copies?”
How long? isn’t it at least seven years?
Like the rest of us have to keep records?
(class action lawsuit time?
injured party: All taxpayers
injury done: not keeping records)
Agreed. It was pointless to even fool with him. Issa just needs to start subpoenaing every source that might have those emails.
got a live link???

How about checking Lois Lerners E-mail Recipients Inboxes??
Why is no one saying this? Hummm??”
yep, I betcha there were more than just six other recipients.
Look at this way, if the other six who “lost” their emails did it on purpose in conjuction with Lerner, then isn’t that a conspiracy?
And wouldn’t a RICO lawsuit be applicable?
Racketeering In Criminal Organization indeed!
What are the Risks of Poor Management of Records?
Increased difficulty or inability to complete your work and meet your responsibilities
Difficulties in fulfilling FOIA or litigation requests
Criminal or civil penalties, fines and/or imprisonment for:
The unlawful removal or destruction of federal records (18 U.S.C. 2071)
The unlawful disclosure of national security information (18 U.S.C. 793,794,& 798)

If you determine that an E-mail is a record, it must be filed appropriately. Unless your component has approved procedures for electronic retention of E-mail, you must print the E-mail message and file/store it in accordance with DOJs overall policies and guidance.
More layers to this rotting onion than anyone suspected, IMO.
And, another example of Zero’s opaque transparency.

TED KOPPEL (VO): The accusation? Obstruction of justice, knowingly withholding subpoenaed documents. The location? A book room on the third floor of the White House, a room in the first family's private quarters. One clue? A White House log handed over today with the names of all the people who might have had access - from Mrs Clinton's chief of staff, to Chelsea Clinton's friends, to dignitaries visiting the President. Tonight, the mystery of the lost and found records.
Let's not forget tax cheat extraordinaire Cheatin' Charlie Rangel:
IRS Chief Campaigned With Tax Cheat Rangel
As allegations of tax fraud swirled around Rep. Charlie Rangel, then-IRS Commissioner appeared with him at a campaign-style event in Harlem. The PR event at a local food bank was ostensibly to discuss tax credits for low-income workers, but the presence of Shulman gave a powerful boost to Rangel, just months after the New York Times called for him to step down.
Of course, we can't let Turbo Tax Timmy get away without a mention:
Out: tax cheat for Treasury Secretary. In: bailout profiteer for Treasury SecretaryPresident Obamas old Treasury Secretary was Turbo Tax Tim Geithner, one of the most celebrated tax cheats in America. Geithner comically claimed that his Turbo Tax software failed to ask him about the $42,000 dollars in self-employment taxes that he managed not to pay for four years running. The exact same defense has been rejected by the courts several times when other people tried to use it, but Geithner skated by. His boss, of course, is extremely determined to collect higher taxes from other people.
One motto for the Devil and Democrats: Just lie, cheat, shred, make evidence disappear and dance like nobody's watching.
