HOUSTON, Texas—State Representative Debbie Riddle (R-Tomball) told Breitbart Texas she spoke with Governor Rick Perry’s (R-TX) Office and they confirmed the surge to deal with the Texas border crisis is about to begin. Details are not available at this time, but Riddle said, “It is going to happen.”
Riddle spoke with Governor Perry’s office about the issue and was assured it “is going to be coming soon.” She said Governor Perry’s office is working very closely with Lt. Governor David Dewhurst’s office along with the office of House Speaker Joe Straus.
“They are gathering together everything they need to begin this right away,” Riddle said. She told Breitbart Texas that she could not divulge any information about exactly when, how long, and where the surge would be for reasons of operational security. She also could not disclose what the operational objectives would be at this time.
Riddle said, “We are going to feel this particularly here in the Houston area because of Houston’s role as a command and control center for the cartels--for both their drug and human trafficking operations.” She added that Texas Department of Public Safety Director (DPS) Steve McCraw told her last week that Houston is still the hub for these operations.
Riddle said, “Governor Perry is very angry that the feds are doing nothing about this problem.” She went on to say, “I didn’t expect the feds to do anything."(continued)

As for the lack of leadership and imagination, Mr. Perry reminds me of someone who is always chasing a parade rather than leading it. Texas has the rare opportunity to carve out increased autonomy for itself. He’s done nothing to lead that effort. He could have achieved greatness for himself and significant progress for Texas.

I recently commented on Jarrett’s trip to the central American holding areas where the effort was pushed up a little bit on the timetable...
For the amount of bodies coming across now, I find it hard to believe this was just a “standard migration” of people trying to “better” themselves and look for better opportunities to provide for their families...There is absolutely NO WAY this recent influx is because of the “conventional narrative” being fed to the stupid people in this country...There IS complicity, corrupt arrangements, and mechanisms of state at play here...And I guarantee you no one will really get to the bottom of this in time to thwart the intended consequences designed to be the death-nail to this Republic...

I wouldn’t say Gov. Rick Perry is “doing nothing”. Unless you live in Texas, and I have for a long LONG time, this man is not one who puts out idle chat which means NOTHING!!

My wife is into real estate and we went to an investors convention where I spent a couple lunch hours with a woman from the Palestine area. I asked why every Republican including Perry couldn't say the phrase ‘illegal alien’ or ‘secure the borders’ when Texas is getting hammered with the problem and virtually under asort of invasion. Her responses were along these lines
‘You have to understand some facts about Texas that will never be publicly acknowledged. First there are tens of thousands of people who will vote GOP unless the ‘illegal problem’ is candidly stated by a candidate. These people are either Hispanic or from mixed ethnic backgrounds and as a result of ancestors a generation or two coming here illegally they are extremely thin skinned about any reference to illegals as they feel they are being called less than American. If you publicly state opposition to the illegal invasion these people will either not vote or vote against you and they are the margin in many races.”
“Secondly there really are significant parts of our economy that can't function competitively without illegals that cost much less to employ than legal workers. For instance the rose cultivation segment of agribusiness in NE Texas would not be able to survive without lots of illegals being paid far less than legal labor. The business would be overwhelmed by imports from Mexico and Columbia within a few years without illegals. There are a lot of segments of our economy like that. We don't like it and it is something Texans loath but know it has to be that way to survive. Bringing up the illegal issue just infuriates a significant part of the GOP base in Texas and wins one no friends except for some people down on the border.”

The Obama administration itself is the one who had the plan to bring these kids in, and then spread them around through the country. And they are allowing these escorts, in essence, to stand in for the LEOs and move them forward.
Anyhow, the Obama administration facilitated this thing, and the stories about these kids running from drug cartels, and newspaper publishing stories to encourage it is either a cover for their operation, or something be used to help facilitate it.

You have hit upon what I call the great irony. The only acceptable push back against the Federal Government by States is in the legalization of marijuana. It is still against Federal law, but the Fed chooses to ignore when states push back. There are literally thousands of laws to push back on, particularly gun law, health care, insurance, immigration, banking, education, EPA, drugs, etc etc, but the only one getting any traction at all...
The great irony, and maybe it isn’t so strange, maybe it’s on porpoise. Spelling on porpoise as well. Maybe it should be called the great distraction.
