BOSTON (AP) Lawyers for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev asked Wednesday to have his trial moved to Washington, D.C., saying Boston is too prejudiced.
The attorneys said in a motion that their preliminary survey of the attitudes of potential jurors in Boston, Springfield, New York City and Washington found Washington would be the most favorable location for a trial.

So, he’s hoping to get some of the Obama administration on his jury?
At least a dozen attorneys are going to live in luxury for the rest of their lives off what they make on this trial.
Why not Dearborn, MI and get an all muzzie jury?
Move it to Qatar...What difference does it make?!?!WTF,Over
Move it to Afghanistan, or Chernobyl.
Oh yeh....DC is gonna jump at that.
If he could fill the positions of judge, jury and prosecutor with Team Obama, he wouldn’t need a defense.
What 4 — juries aren’t liberal enough for you up there?
If that motion’s denied they’ll ask that it be moved to Yemen.
I don’t know how far the Feds can cast their net looking for jurors but if I’m within that “catchment area” I’d love to be on that jury.
IIRC a Federal jury in Massachusetts sentenced a defendant to death a few years ago.I think it was a carjacking case but I'm not certain.
Must have jacked the judge’s car
Since when does someone get to get their trial moved to the place of their choice?
Defendants in high-profile, heinous cases often try to get the trial moved away from the location of the crime, for the same reason as here (risk of jury bias). Requests are often granted, in part because granting the request makes it less likely that a conviction will be overturned.
Beat me to it. I was going to say he is hoping to pull a jury from the White House and the State Department.
I understand that but polling four or five different cities to find the best one sounds a lot like jury shopping.
