"Celebrate Pride Month with the St. Ignatius Community!"
Exactly. So there is NO excuse for them not taking action against this.
That's why I've said that the gates of hell are prevailing against the church. They are being completely impotent in the face of blatant and undeniable sin and violation of church teaching. Everything is in place for them to deal with it and they aren't. Therefore, they are by default, condoning it and approving of it.
I may not “chastise” that somebody, but I’ll to speak to the baseless generalities as I did post #50 of this thread.
May the “best” Christian turn the other cheek first.
And I really bear them no grudge per se. There are many genuine Christians in that organization. I would be thrilled to see enough of the life of Christ come back to Rome that the communication to these wildly disobedient parishes would go beyond polite generalized hints. “Homos don’t have to stay homos! They can be saved! What are you doing condoning this junk???”
To be sure, evangelicals can’t be priding themselves either. They could end up in Rome’s shoes right quickly if they ever forget to look to the grace of God. SOME Christians are going to continue to exist, and they comprise that church which won’t succumb to the gates of hell.
Many people assert that ONLY their church is the one, true church established by Christ, but, in truth, it is and has always been a spiritual house and every member will be clothed in clean, white garments washed in the blood of the Lamb.
Romans 11:2-6 Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life. But what is God's reply to him? I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal. So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
Dancing on the Trapdoor of HELL!! This is an OUTRAGE.....God will NOT be mocked!!
Amen, sister.....
This was, I believe, at the time talking about those of literal Hebrew descent who would put their faith in Christ Jesus.
I have problems when “club spirit” appears and evangelicals pit themselves “as a group” against the Roman segment of the church. This is not being fair to Christ Jesus Himself. There is, as you point out and the bible says, trash and treasure throughout larger Christendom.
However anyone who wants to be treasure has a simple means to do it: put his or her trust in Christ for His personal salvational promise. Tares are those who refuse to be made wheat by the Lord.
“IF” this is in fact being encouraged within “ANY” church then such church leaders should be escorted by members, deacons, and elders, out of the building, off the church property, and told not to return until they repent and ask GOD’s forgiveness. It is an evil that must be addressed and dealt with quickly by the members themselves.
I hope my synagogue doesn’t decide to do this crap.
We can hope this is part of the Church’s “hate the sin, not the sinner” teaching. It’s difficult to know without attending...
If the ministry calls the act of homosexuality a sin and calls for repentance by the attendees, then, of course, it is based on Church teaching. If so, it is presented on their website falsely. God bless the ministers - given how this ministry is advertised, imagine what they might need to listen to.
Let’s not fight among fellow Christians, folks.
I’m not Catholic but I do recognize both sides of the aisle have chaff among the wheat.
The church catholic (little c)...the “invisible” church among all who CLAIM to be followers of Jesus need to let our good works shine before men so they can see HIM. Not our bickering between each other.
Pax. Please.
This Church needs to come to the attention of authorities and parishioners needs to protest.
Pope Francis and his bishops better cleanse that church and in a hurry. Recall the damage to the church because of inaction against pedophile priests; this could be another disaster.
Amen
Boiling in oil is a good one too.
Dolan is supporting the same thing in New York by silencing Fr. Wylie and openly supporting the neighboring parish of Xavier who is pushing pride month and has a rainbow banner leading to the altar.
