"Celebrate Pride Month with the St. Ignatius Community!"
“Archbishop Lori is one of the most conservative bishops in the Country.”
Upon reading that, I googled him. It seems you are correct.
This doesn’t seem like something he would condone.
>Road apples. In this current minuet through the gates of Hell, the Protestants are well ahead of the Church.
“If all Protestants are alike, then all Catholics are alike.”
As usual, you misunderstand. It is truly tiresome.
My statement referred to things such as female, and sometimes even lesbian, “ministers,” “priests”, and “bishops,” not to the state of the souls of all protestants.
LOL
Re-read my previous post.
Argentineans...?
Well I thought that sort of issue was one reason why they studied Latin... and even the Pope ought to know it. There would be a standardized language for referring to things. Here’s where that capability could be more than a sentimental relic. Well, at least, unlike Jimmy Carter, he hasn’t said he lusts for Poland :-)
Don’t dodge — you’re lumping the whole group calling itself “Protestant” in one basket.
Sauce for goose = sauce for gander.
Nodding and winking takes a toll wherever it happens.
I’m not cheering to see this downfall. It is mud on Jesus Christ’s face.
We should all be on our knees asking God for forgiveness and then for new grace to live a life full of His spirit, which life will display more and more right things, and fewer and fewer wrong things.
I’m not surprised to see big mainlines get corrupted first... and it’s for the same reason that the big Roman church has. The big mainlines thought that in an institution lay bulletproofing. “Little” evangelical/Protestant churches such as Baptist, and indie versions of Lutheran, Methodist, etc. tend to see a smaller frequency of such corruptions. They have to be serious about the Lord or else they go extinct.
Redundant...
True; but if he would have SAID so; there'd be none of this guessing crap going on today as to what he 'meant'.
Psalms 12:8
The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.
HMMMmmm...
Change one word to...
...this is some kind of outreach to thieves, to let them know they are loved by the Church and the Church encourages them to embrace the cross given to them.
Proverbs 6:30
Men do not despise a thief, if he steals to satisfy his soul when he is hungry;
I wonder if there is a similar verse saying...
Men do not despise a fella when he's horny, if he finds an outlet to satisfy his soul self when he is lonely...
Multi-tasking: It’s good for the soul.
Yes... the bible backs the concept of a salvation being permanent. This does not mean that chastisement cannot come and rewards cannot be compromised. Passages that appear to conflict need to be seen in a wider context. But making salvation ride on man’s efforts is an old, tired, and very fleshly game. All we can do is embrace and its work follows, as a miracle. What our life is about gets transformed.
Any sin is mortal, in that it pulls the unsaved that much closer to hell. And any sin (except the one of refusing to be forgiven) is venal, in that through God’s immense love He will forgive it if forgiveness is sought.
They may pity such a person more readily, as he is forlornly attempting to fill an empty soul. He isn’t trying to foist wickedness on all comers.
This community activity usually involves just one person as the life of the party.
(It's an elephant-in-the-room thing with me.)
The gates of hell ARE prevailing against what is called the *Catholic church*. Quit deluding yourself that it isn’t happening.
...gee, I guess if you say so, must be so...wouldn’t want to deviate from what such world renowned scholars such as yourself and the redneck have to say...
Welcome to MY world!
It only encourages him.

But; is Francis’ ex-country crying for him?
