On Saturdays broadcast of MSNBCs Up w/Steve Kornaki, former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele said there was push for outgoing-Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) to head the Republican National Committee after he leaves office in January.
Steele pointed to the build-up of the 2016 presidential election cycle as a reason for the push behind Cantor.

Go home. Get a real job.
And just who is showing all of this “interest”? The DemocRATS?
Shut up Michael.
CC
Who is pushing?
Eric outspent his opponent $5.4 million to $200,000 and still lost. Yeah, that would be a brilliant choice.
The people of his own district have voiced their opinion of Cantor. They told him to go home.
LOL
Steele got his job because he was clean, well-spoken, ..... wait, sorry ..... but that was Obama.
Before he takes the job, Cantor wants to know what is the RNC’s steakhouse budget.
No Michael. Haven’t you heard? We have cast you OUT of the party, mainly due to your backstabbing, asskissing ways. No, go home and open a beer.
See tag line.
How can there still be doubts?
That rather defeats the purpose of his losing the election.
He lost for a reason — he lost touch with the people of his district. It would seem that that is the last kind of leadership the RNC needs now, because it, too, has lost touch with the people is supposedly represents.
Yeah. That’ll cement the death of Republicans. Heck of a job, sparky.
this is like the captain of the Titanic recommending someone to be the pilot of the Hindenburg
RNC = RINO Nationwide Campaign
Good grief. Cantor needs to go away.
Steele is a sellout, a fraud, a real Democrat. You’re in the wrong party!
What a dope. You don’t get it Steele. You were supposed to be a true conservative and turned out to be a “get jiggy with it” embarrassment of a RINO. You were replaced with another toad stool, but never the less, Cantor lost because of his RINO ways so you suggest giving him an important role as head of RNC?
Maybe Steele can get Cantor a job with his employer, MSNBC.
