About 200 Americans under contract with the Department of Defense at Balad Air Force Base in Iraq are trapped by the al-Qaida-inspired jihadists who have seized control of two cities and are now threatening Baghdad, according to WND sources.
The sources, private contractors who have recently returned to the U.S. from Iraq, said Friday their former colleagues effectively have been abandoned by the U.S. military and are fighting for their lives against an army of jihadists surrounding the base who belong to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS.
The U.S. contractors are at Balad to help the Pentagon prepare the facilities for the delivery of the F-16 aircraft the Obama administration has agreed to provide the Iraqi government.
The surrounded Americans said they currently are under ISIS fire from small arms, AK47s, and rocket propelled grenades, or RPGs.
The contractors so far have been able to hold the base, but those on the scene reported it was only a matter of time before the ISIS terrorists succeed in breaking through the perimeter.

My question is not so much why we don’t do it as much as why the Iraqis don’t do it. Don’t they have air capabilities or armor for that matter?
The bad guys may have now added humvees to their equipment inventory but they are no match for a tank.

And the added insult is they will be adorned on captured/leased US-made HUMVEES and MRAPs the Iraqis abandoned. Gawd I hate Obama.

Actually, I said, “Arab” countries just in case she wasn’t. I’m surprised these guys are fighting as they must have seized weapons to do so. GD employees were mostly non-combatant types, but they’ll know how to man a tank. The fact they are fighting will increase their chances of being beheaded instead of ransomed. Christians who fight are frowned on. (Er...beheaded.) Isn’t it wonderful dealing with denizens of the 9th century?

Well, where is the well financed conservative organization based on Constitutional principles that is the base for growing new candidates?

Why not also start protesting news organizations for being biased to the left?
