Among the many findings of a new Pew Research Center survey is this data about neighborhoods, and how Americans want them to look: more conservatives than liberals want to live in a place where most people share their political views.
The survey found that, among the consistently conservative, 50% believe it’s important to live in a place where most think the way they do about politics. For consistent liberals, it’s 35%. Check out the Pew poll.
The divide over neighborhoods doesn’t end there. Many more liberals than conservatives want communities where the houses are smaller and closer to each other, and things like schools and stores are in walking distance. Conservatives, not so much. They prefer places where the homes are bigger and farther apart and those stores are “several miles away.”

The number is lower for liberals because they just naturally assume everyone agrees with them; and if they don’t, they should. They announce their views loudly in public, in restaurants, in the line at the post office, wherever. Conservatives tend to bite their tongues, knowing that the gay waitstaff or gubmit dependent P.O. employees, in the examples above, will side with the liberals and try to throw them out or have the police do it. So, as usual, this is a bunk survey.
I don't want looters as neighbors. And all Liberals are looters to one degree or another. Yes, all of them. The type with a high paying government job is actually more dangerous than your typical thieving druggie.
WE are planning to get hunkered in the mountains. A large yard is not going to protect you from your grasshopper neighbors. There are too many of them.
The funny thing is that when they actually choose where to live, liberals concentrate themselves together whereas conservatives choose to live in more politically diverse areas.
Because most conservatives prefer not to live in crime-infested squalor.
That's why we moved to a house with no close neighbors.
No over-the-fence chats.

We live in an area that is well over a mile to the nearest store. Everyone drives and often there is a vehicle per driver in the family.
According to the stats. 30% of us in this area are Republicans, 65% are rats, and 5% are supposedly independents. A 3 bedroom house is about average with many larger homes. Homes in this area, often sell in a couple of weeks with several backup offers or bidding wars.
Even in the downtown area with about 90% of the people living there, there is a vehicle for every driver. These people could walk to stores or ride their bikes, but they don’t. They will ride their bikes after work or on the weekends, and not for commuting or shopping trips.
Liberals when polled like to lie about what great enviros they are. Their reality is often very different.
Not everybody can. If you happen to be in the later category, the next best thing is to make friends with your neighbors who are ants and shun those which are grasshoppers.
The political signs they put out during election time is a major clue in said identification. One advantage our side has is that we have more guns and know how to use them.
Did they come to their conclusions before or after they looked at the data?

I have a medium sized house on a big lot. My community is typically very conservative.

35% for liberals??? I call BS. I work closely with these libtards in Hollywood and they all WANT/NEED to work with their fellow libs. Conservatives and right-wingers not allowed.
Actually I believe the opposite is true. I don't think we Conservatives are all that eager to go and get in our neighbors' faces with our political views. Seems a daily driving compulsion for them
I think the reason we conservatives would prefer to live amongst people of a similar mindset has a lot to do with upkeep and cleanliness of the opposing sides of the political spectrum...

What is that a picture of?
When liberals have kids, they have no more than 2. Conservatives have a lot of kids. Kids increase the size of home that you can be comfortable with. Conservatives are also the only ones who try to survive on one income. If you require a larger house, with one income, you have to the Hood or go out to the burbs.
