Refuse to comply.
Resist.
And when they come to impose their will by force (which all tyrants will) - we do what our Forbears did.

The feds frequently punish states by withholding highway funds. This is why we have a seatbelt law here. The feds said we implement it or lose funds. I understand there are a lot of laws like that. I’d imagine there are federal lunch funds or after class care and the like that would put pressure on the state from voters if suddenly people had to feed or care for their own kids.

Sorta reminds you of Obama’s threat to Roberts, saying that he’d hate to see something happen to his Supreme Court. Isn’t this enough grounds for impeachment? Threatening a SC justice to give him his desired answer, threatening force, which sounds very much like the thuggery that is Chicago. I have never seen an administration in my lifetime that was so lawless and so criminial in its actions, except for the Johnson and Clinton administration, but Obama takes it to a new level.

Any doubt we resemble a dictatorship now? It may be too late America to tell the Federal Government to go to hell.

“dummy down standards” What a joke. You couldn’t get dumber than Common Core if you tried. That’s the point Mr. Secretary. Sheesh.

Texas said no to Common Core from the get-go. We are very wise. And two can play the threat game. Texas and OK have lots of pipelines running to both coasts. It would be a shame if there was no oil or gas in them next winter.

I have not seen the social engineering component talked about because my little one is just 5, but what they did in kindergarten was good and hard. Already pushing algebra concepts in kindergarten.
I don't see anything to help already failing families because it is a family failure already if a child doesn't do the work that was there before core came along.
Now maybe there are social studies BS down the line I haven't seen yet that would make me scream through the roof. So far it is just tough math and English for the little ones.
Now, if you have new tougher stuff to do with kids; how are the already failing families where kids come from muti-generational second grade dropouts going to do better under core when core obviously makes you have to do lots of work home or fail?

RE:
When Oklahoma asserted its Tenth Amendment rights by signing legislation making it the third state to ditch Common Core education standards, it was only a matter of time before the federal government pushed back
This is not the first time the Federal Government intruded in the affairs of Oklahoma.
In 2010, A proposed amendment to Oklahomas state constitution that would have prevented state courts from considering sharia (Islamic) and international law in Oklahoma courts, WHICH WAS OVERWHELMINGLY PASSED BY VOTERS IN A STATE REFERENDUM, was struck down by a leftist federal judge who declared the amendment UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
The end result:

Given the way the Administration caves to every foreign opponent out there, the odds are definitely in OK’s favor
But then again, a post-modern socialist like Obama see enemies only on the inside of the country, not the outside.

“The truth of the matter is that as long as Oklahoma stands its ground, there is little the White House can do”
BS. They can just stop federal funds from going to Oklahoma unless they adopt common core.
Like they did with seat belts, drinking age limit and DUI. And probably a bunch of other stuff too......

Common Core standards are an attempt by the Obama administration to push further into the education system and eventually create a nationalized curriculum designed to transform children into wards of the state. Resist we much. A small unelected, unaccountable committee in Wash-DC who will give us a Trojan horse of socialist indoctrination.
