Today on CNNs State of the Union, Candy Crowley compared former POW John McCain with the traitor and deserter Bowe Bergdahl.
She actually had the audacity to ask Sen. McCain if Bergdahls life was less worthy than his. While retelling the stories of Bergdahls desertion and conversion to Islam Crowley asked, Does that make this young man less worthy of rescuing from his circumstances than the young John McCain as a POW?
Via The Right Scoop:
Whatever you may think of McCains career as a Republican senator, its reprehensible to make a comparison between his captivity and Bergdahls desertion. When McCain was given the opportunity to leave the torture camp and go home in order to help his torturers propaganda campaign, he refused, saying he wouldnt go unless every soldier captured before him were released as well. Meanwhile, six and possibly more soldiers died looking for Bergdahl after he walked out on them.
That Crowley would even dare ask such a question shows how little they understand or respect the military.
Yes but why do the innocent have to suffer along with the guilty
Obama’s Water Girl - still totin’ that bucket.
LOLOLMAO! Spew!
Candy Crowley - Jabba the Slut
You hit the nail on the head.!!
How tremendously maddening. How morally confused must these people be to ask something that shallow? Good Lord!
Candy Crowley is an ass.
No one traded 5 terrorist for John McCain
knowing what I know now I certainly would have left him there. :-)
a paid democrat liar is right. Don’t forget during the debate Obama had with Romeny, almost on cue Obama said, “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?” trying to sandbag Romeny on Obama’s failure to call Benghazi a terrorist act.
And the left says the media is fair and balanced, when Obama was using Candy Crowley as his personal tag team partner. She played her part as useful idiot in the end result of the 2012 election. That I am certain.
That is a lot closer than baraq has ever been to his wife in any pictures. Something else going on here.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I don’t recall John McCain being a lone POW rescued and exchanged for 5 Ho Chi Min types..
I don’t recall McCain flying his plane to an enemy air field and surrendering...
I don’t recall McCain getting good food and allowed to wander free...
I don’t recall McCain bad mouthing our country and threatening to fly to India...
I don’t recall that McCain sent his uniform and books home...
I don’t recall McCain learning Vietnamese and refusing to speak English when he got back...
and I certainly don’t remember Admiral McCain his father growing a beard and worshiping the Vietnamese gods in Vietnamese in the Rose Garden and calling for any Viet Cong POWs to be set free...
Hey, McCain, you’re on your own answering that question.
You have always liked to be in their company.
No sympathy here.
If McCain still had balls he could have said yes and then explained that Bergdahl is a traitor.
plus I don’t recall that McCain deserted and caused 14 American soldiers to be killed hunting for his sorry butt while he hid from them with his Taliban/Viet Cong heroes...
And I dont recall hearing that any of the 600 or so US POWs in Vietnam just walked away from their duty stations and sought out the Viet Cong. I think there might have been one such case during the decade long US involvment where a few million US troops served (Garwood).
No comparison between the release of Vietnam POWs and the trading of five top level terrorists for the deserter Bergdahl.
Bingo! Regardless of how you may feel about McCain as a senator, no one should disparage him for what he went through as a P.O.W. He did not walk away from his post and seek out the Viet Cong - he was captured. He endured years of brutal treatment at the hands of his captors, and never collaborated with the enemy. Who the hell does Candy Crowley think she is?
As arrogant and ignorant both of those groups are, I sincerely doubt even they are dumb enough to author such an absurd “question”.
Yes but why do the innocent have to suffer along with the guilty
For the same reasons millions were sent to the gas chambers in WWII, tens of millions were starved to death or murdered in the Ukraine under Lenin and Stalin , close to a million people were butchered by machetes in Rwanda and most recently, 2-3 million Sudanese have been systematically murdered in a genocide that has been going on for the last 15 years and continues to this day.
That reason is that evil takes over when good people turn their backs and abdicate responsibility to confront evil and to instead let evil run wild and unchecked.
I might be missing something, mot likely not, but isn’t walking away from your post and weapon just a tiny bit different from having an A-4 shot out from under you?
