State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf engaged in a heated exchange Tuesday with a reporter over the circumstances surrounding Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl’s capture five years ago, saying she does not think his squad mates have the best idea of what happened when he disappeared.
When Fox News reporter Lucas Tomlinson asked, “Does the State Department consider Sergeant Bergdahl to be a deserter?” Harf replied, “The State Department — no, Lucas. Look, what we’ve said is we are going to learn the facts about what happened here.”
“He’s been in captivity, Lucas. I think he’s probably the person who knows best what happened on that night,” Harf said.
Tomlinson shot back, “Well, I think his squad mates have the best indication what happened that night.”
“I don’t think that that’s the case,” Harf responded.
Harf directed Tomlinson to “Google it on the web, and you’ll find a ton of conflicting reports”—dismissing the multiple accounts of Bergdahl’s desertion that have emerged over the past several days.

This stupid administration thought it had an easy “win” to move the media away from the VA, Benghazi and other crimes. They were half right. It has served as a distraction but it may turn out to be the biggest crime of all.

Squad mates know the circumstances of Bergdahl’s desertion better than State Department.
They are mostly children, including Valerie’s golf playing adolescent.
The squad mates have no reason to lie about this but if they are correct Bergdahl has every reason to lie.

No, it’s because they have no understanding of how Americans react to freaks. They live in a bubble. People who live in a bubble don’t understand how someone like Bob Bergdahl - for instance - could strike Americans as weird.
This looks like a skit from Saturday Night Live. “We don’t know the fact pattern”, what the hell is a fact pattern? The simple concepts of the truth and the facts are no longer sufficent. In our brave new world we now need to find the fact pattern.

The nation which makes the young the leaders of the older and wiser will come to mourning..The brain is not even fully developed until somewhere in the twenties. Wise and successful nations do not pass the baton of leadership to those who have not had time to develop logic and reason. This young woman behaved very much like the teenagers I know..God help America.

It goes directly to the “spontaneous” lie.
OBL’s terrorist attacks were big and on a grand scale which took months even years of planning and “preparations”.
The reason Bush was able to stop the terrorist attacks after 9/11 was because the planning and preparation phase of the attack was so long it was easier to pick up on when an attack was being planned.
More than likely Bush kept OBL alive because it was easier to stop the terrorist attacks with him alive.
With OBL dead and a new leader the terrorist attacks changed to smaller scale attacks.
Much shorter time in planning and preparations.
The Obama adm is trying to convince people we can no longer stop the attacks because the terrorist attacks are virtually “spontaneous”, little or no planning, little or no preparations.
So why was OBL killed?
If the objective is to stop terrorist attacks it was much better to keep him alive.
