WINGS

”Wings” was a Thursday night staple on NBC, following “Frazier”.

The theme was a soft jazz work-up of the first subject of the finale of Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A, D. 959. That finale is one of the most amazing things Franz ever wrote, a kind of endless song. Just close your eyes and go with it.

Sorry I did not respond sooner. Your subject matter tonight is one of my all-time favorites, and I actually won a Statewide oratorical contest in the ninth grade that was on this very subject.

I cited many of the ones that you did, and also there was an ad for Frenches Mustard that utilized The Ballet Music from Faust.
