But of course we need to pay for sex change operations on the public dime.We have to prove how liberal we are, by pandering to the LGBT peoples. The lifetime dream of the T in LGBT is to have a sex change operation. And we have to cater to that, since we cower in fear of being called homophobic and all that, if we don’t do these operations.
Didn’t they just cut some $700 billion from Medicare and now they want to use these (even more) limited resources for this nonsense?
It’s pushing an old civil rights meme to silly extents.
The good news is that there will be pushback in traditional civil rights quarters. Black people still take umbrage in large numbers to the usurpation of the civil rights cause, feeling that equating global social norms to the old evils of race based chattel slavery and purposed race based civil discrimination is really pushing things. This might be part of a pressure being applied from on high (God, not Barack) to encourage black people to think seriously about God again.

Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers these organ transplants under certain conditions at Medicare-approved facilities:

Kidney
Pancreas
Intestine
