I am not an establishment Republican. I am extremely conservative. More so than Ted Cruz.

Politics has strategy and tactics. There are times when you have take less than you want and seek the opportunity to change it the first time a chink presents itself.

I have been here since 98 or 99 under a different moniker.

You mean vote for the pro-abortion gun grabber liberal republican candidate...

Why can't you say that? It's what you wanted me to do.

Your party will get conservative, or it will get destroyed.

It is much easier to change from inside.

A re-tread? Sniff...

I started off with a different screen name, and Jim kept my sign-in date when he switched my screen name.

No, that sounds like you had a good time and sometimes highjinks are called for in politics.

Obviously not, with all the whining coming from establishment Republicans when conservatives don't vote for your candidate.

The rules inside the party are stacked for the establishment. They even re-stacked the rules at the Convention to make it harder for a conservative to get the nomination.

It will change. Or it will be destroyed. I don't care which. I'm not a Republican.

If the precinct chairmanship in your precinct is vacant you may ask your county Republican organization to appoint you to that position. Many chairmanships have been vacant for years and need someone to take charge.

It isn’t like inheriting a planet. It looks more like hard work.

So...stop with the parlor games, get into the system and start moving things around until they look like conservative values.

Do you know for a fact that I haven't been that route already or that I am not now involved in a way similar to what you suggest...from the ground up?

You write sluggishly, as if taking a kind of dictation. You underestimate much.

Know this: You are a Republican period. I only vote as one, when my conscience permits.

I sometimes log into DU and portraying myself as an extremely old Democrat I spout conservative talking points. Just boilerplate and it really gets them excited until I remind them that I am extremely old. Hahahaha.

They are so easily manipulated.....

I didn’t even try to trick the b@st@rds. I told ‘em exactly what I was doing and that I was a conservative. They still elected me.

I dpn’t think you have because your mo is to reject rather than to support with the intent to change the party when opportunities arise or when you make those opportunities arise.

Get involved and be relevant.

Does anyone understand what’s going on with the returns from Texas State Senate District 2? They are awfully slow coming in compared to the rest of the state. That District doesn’t have some “Cook County” type (except GOPe instead of ‘RAT) pols, do they? You know, the ones who withhold their counts until they know how many they need to deliver.
