Here's one that I like:

Mark Knopfler - Je Suis Désolé

I always wondered about the slight zydeco / Cajun flavor of this song, until I saw this video. The slide guitarist behind Mark is Sonny Landreth, who hails from south Louisiana. Back in the '90s, apparently he and Knopfler both crossed the Atlantic to perform on several of each other's recordings.

As with many of Mark's tunes, about four minutes in there's a nice instrumental part (a duet in this case) to close out the song.
