Link to follow-up story at post #76. (Plenty of typos - hey, it's the Daily Mail.)

IIRC, the photo of the Bear and Kitteh is from National Geographic Magazine.

Sometimes guardian angels come with whiskers, arriving on little cat feet. ;)

I know, right? Their staffers must type with their feet.

My mother and I had a big male orange tabby too. While that kitty would be my mother's "little kitten," he would allow no intrusion onto his property. Dogs knew to stay our of our front yard, and over the years, that cat killed one raccoon & 2 opossums under our front porch and dragged them out into the yard.

But when my mother was having her chemo for cancer, during the infusion, she'd lay in a recliner, he knew how badly she felt, and would stretch out on her lap, putting a paw on each side of her neck, and just snuggle and nuzzle her neck during the sessions, for hours at a time. When she didn't come home from the hospital, he never recovered, and pined for more than a year, before running away.

That dog was trying to hamstring the kid. Kitty knew that this was for keeps.

Cats antics and purrsonalities never cease to amaze me....I’m always learning something new about the felines.

I’ve seen a cat chase a dog and jump on his back when she was protecting her kittens. But I’ve never seen a cat body slam a dog to stop it from attacking a human child. Not to say it’s never happened before, but I’ve sure never seen or heard of it.
