Just received a call from her husband. Jean Smith has passed away.

She's been a loyal FReeper since nearly the beginning of FR and has served for many years as a moderator. She will be missed.

Prayers for Doug and family.

I can recall many threads where I read and respected what Jean said. I wonder how many times she wisely moderated some of my own replies. She was someone I admired; she made a difference around here.

But one thing stands out most in my memory of Jean. And that was her faith in God.

May that faith comfort and sustain her family and loved ones at this time.

Jean was a wonderful FRiend and a devoted warrior on the ground for conservatism. She made thousands of phone calls for Scott Walker’s campaigns over the years. She was very proud of a photo of her and Governor Walker together. She will be sorely missed.
