(Reuters--LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas--An Arkansas judge ruled unconstitutional for the second time in about a week a new law requiring voters to show a photo ID, but said on Friday there was not enough time to prevent officials from applying the law at primary elections this month.
Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Tim Fox said he was staying his order because to do otherwise would create "turmoil" in thousands of precincts. Last week, he said the law was "void and unenforceable."
Nearly three dozen U.S. states have voter identification measures, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Many Republicans have maintained that the laws are aimed at preventing voter fraud, but several Democrats dismiss the claim, saying no such problem exists and the measures are actually a way of trying to prevent low-income people and minorities, who typically vote for the Democrats, from casting ballots.

I am so sick of this. Do I not have to show my ID when I fly or apply for anything?
They’re on quite the roll in states where the democrat is in trouble aren’t they?
Not whether it was constitutional or legal.
If it is unconstitutional to require photo ID to vote, it must be unconstitutional to require photo ID for everything.
The worst part about such rulings is that they are so transparent about the fact that they are promoting voter fraud.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a judge who won’t disenfranchise voters by allowing anonymous multiple voting?
So, according to these “judge” BUFFOONS, it is “unconstitutional” for ANYONE to ever ask me for an I.D. for anything. EVER!
Do you need a photo ID to contract a same-sex marriage? That is the kind of issue that preoccupies our judiciary today.
Around here, you can’t even sell scrap metal or aluminum cans without a valid photo ID
A judge is just a lawyer with too much power.
I’m not as up on this topic as most Freepers, and I have one question.
How do IDs prevent low income people and minorities from voting? Are they stupid? Are the IDs very expensive?
.
Aren’t the individual states required to run the elections in their state, to make sure that only registered voters take part, and that the election process remains something that the populace can have faith in?
How then is this relegated to the states usurping their authority.
...and a political agenda.
Who bought him/her off?
Was this A$$H*LE a”Slick Willie”,”Jim Guy”,or”HuckYourBee”Appointee??????????????
The parasite class SHOULD be disenfranchised.
The CLASS WAR is on,and our side is not even mobilized.
More black robed nannies. Minorities, the poor and the disenfranchised need to be babied. They simply cannot be trusted with their own lives or left to their own devices.
They’re too stupid and scared to get an id, but smart enough to vote for Democrats.
Is it “Constitutional” for people that aren’t citizens of this country to vote. Is it “Constitutional” for a person to vote multiple times? These are the people they are protecting. Illegal voting.
Low-income people have to show a photo ID to get into this d!ckwad’s court house. What a racist!
The ruling is bogus and without merit. Arkansas should just ignore it. Period.
