"After more than a year of resisting the calls of a vast majority of his conference, Speaker John Boehner is relenting and forming a special committee to investigate the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya and resulting scandal. "Jim, it must be reelection time.

It’s not a done deal yet!
“In light of these new developments, the House will vote to establish a new select committee to investigate the attack, provide the necessary accountability, and ensure justice is finally served,” he said in a statement.
Boehner has long faced pressured from rank-and-file members for months to form such a panel to probe the attacks which killed four Americans including a U.S. ambassador, and until now had resisted. Fox News is told the speaker made the decision Thursday to go forward with a vote. The committee is expected to be bipartisan, and Fox News is told Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., is among those being considered to lead it.
The committee would still have to be approved on the House floor.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is under consideration to chair the special panel...
I like Gowdy, if he's appointed, he's gonna do what we in the Army fondly refered to as kicking ass and taking names.........too bad it took so damn long.
But then again, maybe it's timely.....

If Trey Goudy is picked, we will know Bonehead is serious.
If not, it is just a campaign tool by Bonehead and the GOP.

The Speaker was furious to learn that the administration withheld relevant documents from a congressional subpoena. Hes sick and tired of this evasion and obstruction from the administration, and wants a solution to finally force accountability, get the truth, and provide justice.
Please.
The only reason Boner capitulated was due to a political calculation that the Titanic was sinking more quickly than he had previously anticipated. There were mountains of evidence prior to the emails, that have existed for the last two years without a single iota of Mr. Boner's newfound furious scrutiny.

What I find absurd is Boehner’s reason for waiting this long. He was looking for concrete evidence that tied the WH to the video talking point.
Isn’t that the whole purpose of the committee - to figure out what happened?
