Read: Hebrews 4:1-11
It happens nearly every semester. I tell my freshman college writing class often that they need to keep up with the numerous writing assignments in order to pass the class. But nearly every semester some dont believe me. Theyre the ones who send me frantic emails after the last day of class and give me their reasons for not taking care of business. I hate to do it, but I have to tell them, Im sorry. Its too late. You have failed the class.
Thats bad enough when youre a college freshman and you realize youve just wasted a couple thousand dollars. But there is a far more serious, more permanent finality that comes at the end of life if people havent taken care of business with God about their sin. In those cases, if people die without having put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, they face an eternity without Him.
What a terrible moment it would be to stand before the Savior Himself and hear Him say, I never knew you; depart from Me! (Matt. 7:23). The author of Hebrews warns us to make sure we dont come short (4:1) of the eternal rest offered by God. The good news is that its not too late. Today Jesus freely offers to us salvation and forgiveness through Him.

I love to take quizzes. OK, that is not exactly true. When my wife would ask me to take a compatibility quiz with her from one of the womens magazines, I knew that no good could come from it. (Do you know your spouse? Whats your marriage I.Q.? those kind of quizzes are trouble!)

80% As a former military brat, ten years in the military on my own and a job that required extensive travel ... I have been everywhere. LOL!
This survey concentrates in large cities around the globe. The survey discounts smaller cities, and doesn’t list them, hence you are considered untraveled in that area.
Why not ask about states in the US, and individual countries worldwide. If you take a a cross European tours, there are numerous cities visited other than Paris, Rome, etc. Likewise in Canada and Mexico there are cities other than Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Mexico City.
Actually, unless you go outside of the large cities, I feel you really haven’t traveled at all. You have just moved from one large metropolitan environment to another. Get to know the people. If you were to judge the French by those who live in Paris, you’d never go back.
I am extremely well traveled in the South and that is about it.
My Brother-in-Law was a naval aviator and they got used to going all over the world then after he got out they continued to travel outside the U.S. every year for probably the last 15 years. They have not been to Russia or China or New Zealand nor most of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Except for those they have been everywhere.
I've been lucky. Seen a lot of places, and not in a bad way.
