LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced Tuesday Clippers owner Donald Sterling will be suspended for life and fined $2.5 million in response to the racist remarks he allegedly made in a recorded audio clip.
Silver spoke to the press at 11 a.m. news conference from New York, stating he will “do everything in my power” to force the sale of the Clippers.
“The hateful opinions voiced by that man are those of Mr. Sterling. The views expressed by Mr. Sterling are deeply offensive and harmful. That they came from an NBA owner only heightens the damage and my personal outrage,” Silver said. “I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers association or the NBA. Mr. Sterling may not attend any NBA games or practices, he may not be present at any Clippers facility, and he may not participate in any business or decisions involving the team.”

He's suspended from direct participation in management, showing up at games, etc. He still owns the team. He will just have to appoint a manager to run it for him.

She has created "V. Stiviano" hats and shirts, and her Instagram account includes photos of people posing in the clothing.
Sterling allegedly gave her a Ferrari, two Bentleys and a Range Rover; in total, a minimum of $2 million of the community property of Sterling and his wife.
Sterling gave Stiviano a $1.8 million duplex.
Allegedly, Stiviano openly recorded much, if not most, of her conversations with Sterling. Apparently, she has 100+ hours of audio available for us.
Stiviano is friends with Magic Johnson. Magic Johnson has long wanted to become a NBA owner.

Larry Johnson doesn't want to associate with white people in the basketball business and Sterling doesn't want his girlfriend (who btw is part black) to associate with blacks at his games.

That’s interesting point about California law - but - it might have been illegal for V. to record, but is it illegal for the NBA to use it? Law can be screwy at times….
What do you call those bakers being persecuted because they would not cater a gay wedding? What do you call the Mozilla CEO being fired over his donating in favor of traditional marriage? It's happening now. If you do not submit, they will destroy you.
That's not persecution compared to what our brothers and sisters suffer in the cesspools of the rest of the world, of which I just returned from one such place last week.
What you noted is just the ramp-up to institutionalized persecution, which will be followed by what we read in Matthew 24 and the book of Daniel and Revelation.

Magic set Sterling up real good and it looks like he will win..Sterling is a racist idiot but this smells SO badly if a set up by both Stiviano and Magic, doesn’t excuse the idiocy that came out of Sterlings mouth but also doesn’t change the fact that he was set up..and yes your right, Magic WILL end up buying the Clippers I have no doubt

California is community property, which is probably why she had an epiphany after a chat with her attorney. Many folks think she's an "ex-wife" but she isn't.
There's a reason for her about-face.....she's definitely placed herself in on the act now. "Why" she did is not clear at the moment.
Hubby may not have total control over selling the team....or NOT selling the team. Wifey may have ideas of her own.

However, that makes no diff to the NBA...you can't just leave you ownership interest to an heir..wife or child UNLESS the other NBA owners approve..and they can refuse to approve without stating the grounds...thus..he's stuck...
Stirling will not go quietly; and he has plenty of money.
And don't forget the Muslims expanding everywhere in the US under the protection of Obama and his agents. If you do not submit to them, you will be destroyed, too. If you speak out against Muslims, CAIR, the MB and other advisors already in the US government will move against you.
