That was my thought too. I assume the fine is for breach of contract, the same contract they want to kick him out of??

"Right, hell have to sell the team. Im pretty sure a ban means no direct involvement."
And in selling the team he will garner a huge profit. Let's face it, the only real punishment in his case is the public humiliation.

President Lyndon Johnson using the "N" word.
The supposed transgression was a PRIVATE conversation recorded secretly.
What business is of anyone else what a person says to another in private? Isn't it against the law to record private conversations without the permission of both parties?

If I were him... I’d go to the game tonight. The NBA has no way to enforce their ban. I’d go sit in my suite and watch the team I own, in the arena that I’ve contracted for my team to play.

Again, it is a private organization with a largely black audience. The only color that matters to NBA owners is green, and they will do whatever it takes to prevent losing green over an 82 year old white guy

It's apparent to me that the NBA has weak lawyers.
If I were Stirling I would file a anti-trust suit and ask for $2bil.
The supposed transgression was a PRIVATE conversation recorded secretly. NBA is WAY out on a limb here.
yeah you are right...but I'm eating popcorn watching this heavy Obummer backer getting thrown under the bus....

Sterling must not be that sharp if he didn’t have the ho sign a NDA as she is technically listed as an employee of his.

Ironically, Donald Sterling has created more jobs for blacks than Obama.

Beware the mob. Those that cheer now may be surprised to see the same mob at their own doorstep should they say something stupid or not politically correct in private someday. After all, that’s what we have the NSA for....

Hell, this is out of the obama playbook.

If I were Sterling... one of two things... either go to the game tonight and tell the NBA to take a hike. (the nba doesn’t have a swat team yet). OR get with his ex wife and cancel the game tonight. No game, no television broadcast. We forfeit.

Not if they violate the Sherman anti-Trust Act.
Only Baseball is exempt.

Could he buy out his lease agreement in California and move the team to say...Seattle?

I wonder how much he's paying her? Maybe she gets to be one of the co-owners of the Clippers? He'll probably get away with throwing some bling at her. I any case if he did use her to set Stirling up then he (or anyone else) would be a fool to ever trust her because the leopard doesn't change its spots. I'm afraid her gold digging days are over.
